Which God? I have a relationship with 3 of them. The coolest thing about Siva is that He can work with a murthy and change His own facial expression, on the murthy, hence communicating with the devotee to answer the deepest questions of life. For Murugan, the coolest thing is His Vel, which can pierce ignorance rather succinctly and quickly once the devotee knows the secret to it. The coolest thing about Ganesha is that He is ALWAYS friendly, and loving.

Hinduism was never my strong suit. So many God's and goddesses it's hard to keep track of it all. ;0)
Topic for another thread, this feminine/masculine name thing. I have been rather incorrect about the gender of people on here several times, because the name sounds feminine or masculine to me. But maybe that's a good thing as it takes gender bias out of it.
Might want to spruce it up a bit...

This is a little off topic, but since a couple of people here seem to agree that the coolest thing about God is Love, I have to wonder why that is so cool. What I wonder about is why people feel a need to be loved by God. I don't feel any such need, and besides, what good would it do if God was Love? What difference would it make?
I can understand why people feel a need to be loved by people in their lives because that love can be demonstrated and reciprocated. Such is not the case with God.

I'm glad that you've found peace in believing that God is love and loves us all unconditionally, but I've never experienced it, so it's not something I believe.
I was thinking much along those same lines
And there is hardly an abundance of evidence for a loving God given the way the world is
I think wishful thinking is a factor
