Started a game of XCOM Enemy Within for when I'm staying with @MoonWater.

I'm also working to get through some of the JRPGs that I've either started or never finished, or never started and need to. Current round: Persona 3. So far, it doesn't sing to me anywhere near as much as 4 did, and doens't seem to have a cohesive story at the moment. Still, it's fairly fun to play, the setting and characters are interesting, and the music (again, not as good as Persona 4) is pretty good overall. Pity the voice acting ranges from decent to dull.

The Fallout update isn't nearly as big as I thought. But the ESO update is 19 GBs, so that is definitely going to have to wait.
Playing Diablo 3 on Torment X, I went into a game at just over Paragon 100, and in just one rift I gained nearly 1000 levels.

Can't wait, this is next on my list. Currently playing Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. Love the Borderlands games.
My only complaint with those games is they are just way too repetitive and way too long for as repetitive as they are.

Fallout 4 for me.
I have found the early levels a little inconsistent in their difficulty...mostly a little too easy, and on one occasion very hard (although turned out I was using a dumb tactical approach, so kinda mea culpa on that).

Loving it so far, but it does kinda strike me as a new, souped up Fallout 3. Like...Fallout 3.5 or something.

I love games... right now I'm playing one that reminds me of Serenity/Firefly. It's called Rebel Galaxy. Too cool for school.

ESO seems fun so far. Definitely different from other Elder Scroll games, especially given there are other characters, there doesn't seem to be a ton of stuff to loot, and some other stuff, but it seems like a fun game.

ESO maybe not have been a good idea. I am going to get nothing done. Absolutely nothing.

I've been thinking about picking this up as part of my early roster. Thing is, I steer clear of MMOs on the whole. Is this game doable in single player? Do other players ruin it for you?

From what I've played, so far (I'm still in early low-level areas), except for seeing other players I've been playing it single player, but I do have a group quest.
It feels like an Elder Scrolls game, but there are many parts that are different (because it's balanced for a MMO). One such thing is you can't clear out non-instances, and you'll be fighting stuff going in and out of an area, and the spawn rates are so high I've been able to fight boss-monsters two, sometimes three times. The combat system is also very different, and it easily has the strongest deviation from the core feel of the series combat system, and your health, magicka, and stamina recharge much faster. It's so different that I traded the bow for a sword, but I'm still using magic, but not restoration (and I haven't noticed skills like mysticism and illusion yet).
But it's the same amazing world and wonderful story telling that has made the series great.

It's supposed to be on sale for cheap at Walmart on evil Friday, and now that there's an "unlimited" edition with no monthly fees, that's a bigger draw. If it's an RPG, I pretty much want to play it, even if it's mediocre at times.

Thinking about Halo 5 too, but even though I was once very into that franchise, I find I care less about FPS's nowadays (except Borderlands). Never touched a CoD game in my life, and maybe it's about time to experiment with that instead. :D

CoD sucks. When it comes to FPS, they are some of the worst. I've never cared much for the Halo games (I played games like Doom, Golden Eye, Perfect Dark, and Counter Strike before Halo was around), but the Halo games, despite all their short comings, are still better than the CoD games. With CoD, you get stuck with crappy beginners gear having to go against people who have the best gear and are prone to making it obvious they are not decent people. If you have a hyper sense of masculinity to defend and are the type to hoop and holler and cheer on American military prowess, then you might have a game to like. If you are wanting a good shooter that doesn't come straight from a mass produced mold, you're better off sticking to games that are/were truly ground breaking (even if it means going old school with the ID or N64 shooters of the 90s) or have something unique to them (such as Borderlands).

Final Fantasy. One of these days I'll actually try the game with a party that is different from Fighter, Red Mage, White Mage, and Black Mage. Maybe I'll try 3 Fighters and a White Mage next. It'll save a ton of money, and I probably won't have to grind so many levels.

I had FF1 on the NES when I was a kid. I remember it only having one save file. Was at the final castle where you face the final boss. One day after school I popped in the cartridge, determined to finish the game. Party of 4 fighters at the first town's Inn. Turns out one of my little brother's friends played it and overwritten my game. Was not happy, and never attempted to play through again

Another RPG I had as a kid (my first RPG experience, actually) was Dragon Warrior, which came free with the Nintendo Power subscription. I did manage to finish that one.

Currently playing MGS V and the Uncharted collection on my PS4. I've really enjoyed revisiting Uncharted but I haven't liked MGS V all that much. Im still pretty early on in the game and I hope I'm wrong but it's so repetitive and...shock...boring :(

I've finished FF, but I have never finished Dragon Warrior as the pace is just too slow.
