FF X-2 made me quit FF and switch to Shin Megami Tensei...
X is pretty much the last good game in the series anyways. It changed staff shortly after (and fatally so, IMO), made one that isn't even an RPG (basically rush through the level (yes, level) on a wire to hack up enemeis), and a couple MMOs.
I'm amazed at how you can make music with it, it's crazy
It is nice, and I have tons of fun playing with the character. But, with that said, I do think it's crap you get one instrument sound set for free and the others you have to pay for. It doesn't change game play, so it fits with the games "pay for cosmetic and to not farm," but it still sucks in this case.

I do believe I'm almost done with disc 3 of FF8, so almost done with FF8. It got better, but definitely not my favorite. Got a handful of things to farm for junctions then I go beat up the last boss (although, in all reality I'm junctioned well enough as it is I could probably obliterate her without any problems).
Next will have to be 7, 9, or tactics. Most likely 9 or tactics since I haven't beaten those yet.

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
Indulging in Planetfall Age of Wonders.

It's nice to get a cup of coffee, warm meal, and get lost in a good grand strategy game.

DAMMIT! There goes my life! I've wanted for so long to again play the actual WoW game I liked and fell in love with. And I suppose Imma have to make my 'lock all over again. But it will be great having my 1-gal army haunting the lands of Azaroth once again!

Hindsight being 20/20 it is a lot easier to level now. Get the eye of kilrogg spell and you can do aoe groups (3 mages, 1 lock, 1 healer) from SM GY and beyond. An aoe group I ran with yesterday hit the resets per hour cap. Made about 7g just on vendor trash in that hour.

Turns out I don't have too much grinding to do before I tackle the rest of FF8. Ultima and Auro are the only two spells I have left to get for everybody, 3 GFs remain with one of them being a grindy one (Doom Train), and then I do believe I have mostly everything of significance, minus ultimate weapons, which I probably won't mess with because I'm cutting through even level 100 enemies like a hot knife through butter with my junctions (not so much Ruby Dragons, but they just take me a good few minutes to finally kill).

So, on my days off I have been playing Batman: Arkham Knight (free thanks to PS Plus).

It is one of those games that is both frustrating and fun at the same time. The frustrating parts, of course, involve the car quests. So frustrating, in fact, that I have shouted at the game, turned it off to promise I am done playing such a silly game, and then turning it back on to state that this game is going to go my way or else.

I beat up Ultima Weapon, pretty bad, into a puddle of goo, and then I realized I forgot to draw the GF. :(
But, after I beat it up again, and prepare it's carcass to be boiled into glue, I think I'm gonna head for the end of the game. I'm at a point where I made the superboss look like a super pushover, so I don't see a reason in my grinding anymore (except maybe to finish out the ultimate weapons because I'm only missing two of them).

20 years ago I must have really sucked at games and RPGs. I haven't really been grinding all that much, haven't got all the best stuff, but yet I had so much of a harder time with most games back then, not just FF8. But I'm trashing everything in my path so well I feel confident I can even stomp the Omega Weapon.
Now if it were only this quick and easy on FFX to get all the good stuff to beat up the super bosses.

First time I played through the Final Fantasy games, when I was younger 8 was my favorite and 10 my least favorite. Now they've swapped positions. When 10 first came though, I suspect that as I was still deeply entrenched in Evangelical Christianity the ideas presented in the game were very foreign and new to me, and because it was all I knew then I just didn't get the story or comprehend what was going on.

Borderlands 3. The new Siren Amara is amazing but saw my wife playing FL4K and now I want to start a 2nd playthrough. :D

They've definitely improved gunplay and movement but aside from that it feels like a borderlands game.
I probably won't be checking it out then. The first one had it's charms, but even it was really pushing the drawn out and repetitive thing, IMO, and by 2 it was just too of the same over-and-over-and-over, like the worst grind fest ever because it was a solid two games of the same sort of missions to kill the same sort of enemies, again and again and again with not much changing in between.

It's a looter shooter for sure.

New I'm trying to decide if next I want to play FF7, FF9, or Legend of Dragoon.

Legend of Dragoon. I'm disappoint more wasn't done with the IP.
