Pretty much. Having studied Islamic philosophy and at the moment Christian philosophy I will tell you there has been a century long trend of the religious attempting to separate philosophy from theology. Theology came after philosophy for this very reason

I was thinking more about how two given religions express themselves (mainly politically) through a philosophical medium. For example, Paganism has been conflated with Nationalism due to its origins and philosophy.

Not entirely true as paganism as a nationalistic concept is something of recent thought and not spoken much of in common discourse. Academically we all know this is not the case since polytheism is the main reason why the great monotheisms model themselves as ideologies with political wings.
Going all the way back to Egypt and Mesopotamia we see polytheism as a political component for monarchies and divinely gifted dictators.

Paganism in terms of theology (not philosophy) is a very broad group of cults that shift more so with society than politics purely. Look at the Mithras cults and the Aresian cults which were at different scales of popularity. Ares the might god of war was deemed a lesser deity archaically and was an insider deity only toward soldiers and often scoffed by mainstream Greece. Surely such a god could not compete with the esotericism and popularity of the Mithras cults.

Taken further back you notice the Osirisian cult and its apparent relevance ONLY to the monarchy of Egypt. He was barely worshiped or acknowledged outside of that sphere and any such worship was primarily for nationalist reasons alone

Their beliefs seemed more legitimate than those of the Neo-Nazi types who claim to be "Sons of Odin" (exploiting the imagery of Paganism to promote their political views to Pagans). I left the whole community as it harbored a lot of blindness from what I saw. For example, a prominent figure might say something like "stop watching porn", and then everyone suddenly jumped on that bandwagon using some concurrent "research" to back it up.

I am no fan of reconstructionism as it is only suitable for LARPing as even theology needs to adapt and progress no matter where it is. I think the fact that a bunch of pagans refuse to give credence to porn is amazing. I was attracted to such a group because I never knew such a thing existed as I despised porn before knowing there was an online community of such people.

But it does not change the fact that porn is very harmful in terms of addictive behaviour.

I primarily question his right-wing ideology as I myself am a right-winger it it unnerves me to see a Hitler sympathizer in this day of age. It really brings the alt-right down when Identitarians think they can do no wrong, and it brings the entire right down further with it.

I have my issues with Varg mostly. His rants against veganism were completely nonsensical along with his steaming hatred toward Christians and the like. He comes off as strongly anti-Jew as well which bugs me and only makes me question his stance of race all the time.
