I am good at writing poetry (when I get the itch to do it), research (so much so I find too much information and tend to lose focus when it is for a paper for school, thank you Mr. or Mrs. Internet), I also tend to help others and put myself last (not a bad thing but I have to limit it so I take care of my needs also), I love being an ear for someone to vent to and offering suggestions, making my family and friends feel loved and supported no matter what their decisions are.
I am also good at procrastination, which anyone who has read some of my early posts has seen with the project I had to do for Composition class. Speaking of which, I am reminded that I am good at writing good papers and achieving good grades for them even while losing points for tardiness. he he he *Mental note - Not a good trait to have constantly*
I am not sure if I am good at it but I do try to be diplomatic and compassionate towards other peoples views, as long as they do not try to force me to feel the same way, or lecture and preach to me that my views are wrong.
I am good at losing my temper (not proud of it though) and good at working on not losing my temper. ( that is a constant battle within myself. )

I am good at praising others for their accomplishments and feeling empathy when they go through a rough patch in life.

If I think of more I will add them later.

Lightkeeper, Great thread idea. It is a great way to help people who may be feeling down to realize that they do have strengths.

I am good at trying to be a good Father, and husband. I am good at treating people the way I expect to be treated (which makes me wonder why I only have 1 friend), and I am good at learning languages ( I speak Spanish fluently, some Japanese, some Tagolog, some German).

I'm fairly good when it comes to languages. I am fluent in three foreign languages (five if you count Danish and Norwegian as "foreign"), make do in another three or four, and can decipher quite a few more using dictionaries.

If you need a better translator than me for getting a technical text into Swedish, you'd better start looking very early in the morning.
I am also good at helping friends, neighbours etc. If the family next door is pressed for time and needs somebody to walk their dog, they know they can just phone me. A few days ago, my ex-wife's printer crashed, and she had an urgent job to deliver as a printout. I had a spare printer, went there, installed it and gave her the printer. (Her new husband is very pleased that I get there now and then to sort out computer troubles and do some preventive maintenance.) The day before yesterday. a former fiancée, knowing that she can rely on me, called me on the phone, and I spent almost an hour on the Internet to get some facts she couldn't locate herself. I try to tell people that Buddhism has taught me that I am selfish in helping them, because it makes me feel good, but few seem to understand.

I am good at researching things, sorting out problems and untying knots (which is sort of like sorting out problems). Not bad at cooking and sewing either. Here is something weird - I am very good at getting pregnant and having babies. I am very fertile (something I have to watch out for), have very easy pregnancies and deliveries. I wish I wanted 12 children and/or I could give this gift to others. I am also good at assembling things (furniture, stereos, bicycles, etc...)

The downside - I am not a very concious driver - and I am unable to file anything and ever find it again - or ever remember that I have it!

Spanish!! Yay! Puedo hablar in espanol tambien--un poquito! I love the Spanish language. I am not fluent in it ( yet! ), but I've been told I have a very good accent, and a natural ability to speak it. I also know a bit of Portuguese, which is also a beautiful language. I know smatterings of French and Arabic, and am going to try to teach myself Burmese. And maybe Dutch.....maybe German too....*sigh*....if only I were naturally multilingual....
