I don't have an iPod, and I use iTunes mostly for spoken word. If I really did a random selection of my files, it would be mostly Buddhist, Quaker, and infidel podcasts. There's not that much music on there. But here are ten random songs from what music I do have:
1. One Monkey Don't Stop No Show - Francine Reed
2. Symphony No. 9 (Scherzo) - Beethoven
3. Dancin' In the Moonlight - Orleans
4. Du Liegst Mir Im Herzen - Marlene Dietrich
5. Baby, It's Cold Outside - Ella Fitzgerald & Louis Jordan
6. Banana Boat Song (Day-O) - Harry Belafonte
7. Rough Side of the Mountain - Rev. F. C. Barnes & Rev. Janice Brown
8. Moonlight Bay - Alice Faye
9. Funny How Time Slips Away - B. B. King and Bobby Blue Bland
10. Here I Am - Lyle Lovett
You might get the impression from that list that most of my favorite artists are dead, but that's really not the case. I just looks that way.
Everyone should have: Honestly, my favorite on the list is "One Monkey Don't Stop No Show," but I guess I'll do the right thing and pick "Baby, It's Cold Outside."
Guilty Pleasure: "Day-O." It's just fun; I don't really feel guilty at all.
