Isn't the Appalachian Trail only a hiking trail? IIRC, they don't even allow (human-powered) bikes.
Mine is totally new to me, it's to walk Alice and discover new countryside in the dark. Without a torch!
It will go 2 ways, either I'll trust my vision and brush shoulders with the wildlife.
Or I'll go 'a** over t*t' and fall down a disused mine shaft!
Stepping outside of my comfort zone usually does me the world of good though.
