What are your favorite three doctrines, precepts or ideas of your faith and WHY?

Personally for me it would be thus:

1. Tawheed(Monotheism/Oneness)-

To first understand the unity of all of creation, one must first understand the Unity of G-d. It is of prime importance to know and understand that all things have a unifying element that corresponds back to the Creator.

2.Taqwah(G-d awareness/consciousness)-

After one attains the knowledge of tawheed, one must then be aware and cognizant of the presence of Allah. As well as to know that your actions are recorded and these actions should conform to pure intentions of adhereing to the decrees of Allah.

3.Ihsan(the highest degree of one's actions)-

In order to try to perfect one's acts of worship, a person must then try to reach a level of Ihsan. This concept puts the believer on the highest plane of belief. For example, not only is the believer supposed to pray five times a day, but all of those prayers should be done with the intent to offer them in the most disciplined manner. Not like the "chicken pecking" I see so much of from many Muslims today.

What are the three things that mean the most or are your favorite 'doctrines' so-to-speak about your faith and WHY?...
  1. Deep Christian Spirituality - We seek to live by Christ's example
  2. True community - We welcome all God's people
  3. A passion for justice - We work to 'bring hope where there is despair'.

I didn't want to copy and paste it all, but this page on our church's site stated it better than I could. :cross:
