Recently finished Victor J. Stenger's Not By Design and The Unconscious Quantum. And The Grin of the Dark, yet another brilliant horror novel by Ramsey Campbell.

It's been a comic book weekend having read Johnson and Pleece's Incognegro, O'Malley's Scott Pilgrim (vol. 5), Gerard Way (yes, that Gerard Way) and Gabriel Wa's The Umberlla Academy, Joe Kelly and Niimura's I Kill Giants, and I just started Bendis' Torso (I can't wait for the Fincher film).

Stenger is the forgotten "new atheist" that avoids the limelight unlike Harris and Dawkins. He's great- straight forward atheist and science writing with none of the theological tut tutting of a Dawkins.
And I have yet to read a bad Campbell novel.

Incognegro- brilliantly written, adequate art.
Scott Pilgrim- bugs the hell outta me but I feel compelled to read them if only 'cause Edgar Wright is directing the film version.
The Umbrella Academy- surprisingly entertaining despite the MCR connection.
I Kill Giants- indie sleeper hit. Awesome.
Torso- so good so far. Perfect art and Bendis has the noir thing down.

Stealing the Fire from Heaven by Stephen Mace. Good, short, to the point occult book.

Currently reading (slowly) the Dresden Files by Jim Butcher. Fun quick reads.

Also reading Tesla: Man Out of Time by Margaret Cheney. Biography on Nikola Tesla, not as quick a read as the Butcher books, but still interesting.

Smoke

Done here.
I have three going at the moment:

The Man in the Iron Mask, by Dumas pere

Idiot America: How Stupidity Became a Virtue in the Land of the Free, by Charles P. Pierce

The Stoic Philosophy of Seneca, Translated by Moses Hadas

Depends where I am, how much time I have, and what I feel like at the moment.

Kathryn

It was on fire when I laid down on it.
I am reading Glenn Beck's "Common Sense."

Also reading "The Savage Kingdom" about the founding of the Jamestown colony and it's four hundred year history.

Finally, "The World Is Flat" by Thomas Friedman.

When I ordered more comic paper from Blue Line I saw that they had a few issues of their magazine SKETCH on sale, I thought I should look into it. SKETCH offers creative tips from professional comic artists and writers and explains how to break into the business.

Just picked up "The Lost Symbol" by Dan Brown. Dan Browns 3rd installment and Sequel to "The Da Vinci Code" and "Angels and Demons". Very good mystery series so far, have not read much of the new one, so cannot comment on it yet.

oh heck yeah, dresden files is awesome! i can't wait for the next installment! woot! and why would you want to read the satanic bible, or the necronomicon? i don't believe the bible, so the satanic bible is just a pointless move in my opinion. as for the necronomicon i can understand that, it sounds interesting, i guess.

slowly plodding through the first of the Wheel of Time, The Eye of the World, by Robert Jordan. It is a huge book mind you, and only ten more to go...

Also skipping for the millionth time through The ABC's of Chakra Therapy by Deedre Diemer, which is one of the best chakra therapy workbooks I have found.

Oh, I didn't like that book. I think the series is supposed to get better though. I just gave up after book one.
