Productive week. This is what happens when I don't post online as much. Hm. :sarcastic

Re-read Ambrose Bierce is Missing by Joe Nickell mainly due to the recent trial of John Demjanjuk and Nickell's investigation of his SS training camp ID card. But the whole book is fascinating.
Re-read The Origins of Order by Stuart Kauffman. I love this book and I always find some new nuance when I read it.
Read The Gentleman From Angell Street by Muriel Eddy. Eddy was a friend of H.P. Lovecraft from 1923 til his death in '37 and the book is a novella length memoir of her relationship with him.
Bone Voyage by Rhine and What the Bones Tell Us by Schwartz. Both are great reads on forensic anthropology. It's good to know that humans have remarkably unique feet that are unlike any other primate, and a good distinguishing feature to remember is that anthropoid primates have fingernails while prosimians do not.

That one is on my wish list. My book list grows faster than I can read. :(

TITLE: The Truth About The UFO Crash At Roswell
Authors: Kevin D. Randle and Donald R. Schmitt
ISBN-13: 978-0380778034
1991 Paperback 314 pgs.

Did a UFO crash in 1947 near Roswell, New Mexico? Did the U.S. Army Air Force recover the craft and its dead or dying crew? Was there a subsequent cover-up? Randle and Schmitt examine and compare the available evidence in this expanded version of their UFO Crash at Roswell (Avon, 1991). Randle, an Air Force reservist, and Schmitt, director of special investigations, Center for UFO Studies, present the most thorough and objective account currently available. The authors have had to rely on a lot of secondhand information but generally avoid speculation. They interviewed hundreds of people-including military personnel, civilians, and pilots-and examined government documents obtained via the Freedom of Information Act. Most disturbing are the statements of witnesses who claim they were threatened with bodily harm if they ever talked about what they saw. Possible alternative explanations are examined (Japanese balloon bombs, V-2 rockets, experimental aircraft) and discarded as implausible.

Re-reading my copy to brush up on the recent (exploding) debate in the Paranormal forum. My copy was autographed by Kevin D. Randle at the 1994 UFO Expo in Conneticut. I gave him a T-shirt of my band The Jason Society. I thought he would appreciate the reference. Nice guy.

I'm reading Yoga for Dummies in an attempt to feel comfortable doing a good Yoga routine outside of the classroom. I'm hoping I can get it done during my break!

If I still have time leftover I'll use it to try to read what books of the Wheel of Time series I have left (#'s 9-12).

hmmm you have paypal account?

I might even be persuaded to part with my copy if you like...for a reasonable price

then again its under $5 on amazon right now....

If you have a credit card...I'd get it!

I will probably wait until after the holiday's just in case someone has gotten me a copy (although I hardly doubt it).

The Complete Idiot's Guide to Taoism. Very interesting and informative read. I'll be sure to delve into some original Taoist scripture myself to gain my own perspective.

I just finished 'The Lost Symbol'. I really really enjoyed it. I could hardly put it down and I normally struggle with novels. A great read altogether.
