No, just only trust information that comes from books, not the internet. That's all I was trying to say. Published works cite their sources and are generally reliable (not counting books written by politicians and radio talk show hosts). If you want to know more about al-Qaeda, I'm currently reading the Pulitzer Prize-winning The Looming Tower. It's really fascinating because you understand how the figures grew up and what their interests are.

The notion that we can/should only "trust" information that comes from books
is about the kookiest thing I've read in this whole thread.

I always say I'm not going to get into these "discussions" anymore.
Yet here I am. It is futile, so I'm inclined to leave you all now to proceed with your own reality constructs.
We all have and choose them. We choose who we believe, what we believe, what we question and what we don't.
Who/What/When/Where/How/Why is SOURCE.
And this will always be the source of disagreement between people.

I just want to make it clear that I live in fear of NO ONE.

Explain to me exactly how 9/11 HELPED the Bush Administration? It sidetracked his ENTIRE political agenda and made him a wartime president. Nobody wants to be a wartime president. Name one positive thing that 9/11 did for the Bush Administration, and I'll consider your theories. There are two sides to everything, but conspiracy theories don't have sides.

That might be true. There are lots of examples of certain groups getting ahold of our tax dollars that shouldn't. However, sneaking money from the US doesn't really qualify as "working for the CIA".

I can't. It's enough for me to simply state
that not all of us feel the official theories of conspiracy/coincidence and impossibility make any sense.
It would just at least be nice if people didn't mock you for the sake of your not believing the status quo.
Not that I really care anymore anyway. The tin foil comments get old.

IMHO Bush is little more than a puppet. Still he did get his second term, his war legacy, and the aggregious "Patriot Act" which cites practically everyone with a high potential terrorist profile, except of course those of the elitist set.... of which he and his family and companions are all one. When martial law hits, he and his own will only benefit while we all lose every "right" we ever THOUGHT we had.
And of course Daddy Bush even spoke publically about the NWO.
But I know... NWO... I should get my tin foil hat and go sit in the corner.

I'm quitting this convo for the sake of my sanity and time practicality.
I have no desire to convince anyone of anything anyway.

My issue here is less what "caused 9/11"

and more

what causes people to trust their own govts. so implicity
that to even beg the question automatically brands a person "nut case",
or "hater of liberty". I love my liberty.
Bills like the patriot ACT (pun intended) threaten that liberty to it's core.

There are so many aspects to this whole thing,
I'm not sure how you can make such an all encompasing statement?

There are MAJOR aspects of the whole 9/11 attacks that make absolutely NO SENSE at all to human reason (ex. undamaged lawn at pentagon, no plane wreckage at crash sites... just to name a couple), and the official stories have done absolutely nothing to explain or address them in any believable way whatsoever. You think other people's alternative explinations are idiotic? Well certainly no more or less so than the govts. own equally and aparantly lame non-explinations. So why simply "default" to the govts. idiotic non-explinations just because you haven't heard any others you like any better?

Like Sola'lor I would be interested in hearing at least just a couple specific examples of what you're talking about. Obviously none of us can possibly address everything here in this thread. There are people out there devoting their entire lives to digging into all the problems and inconsistancies. Still in the end one can only GUESS at what actually did happen in light of all the non-Sense.
