What Changes if there is no God or Gods?

If there was no god or gods, would that fact change anything such that you would know in this life that there was no god or gods?

Would you somehow sense that there was no god or gods? Would the world be any noticeably different than it is? Would there be any clue at all that there was no god or gods?

What think you?

If there was no god I think this would be a nihilistic universe where there would never be a point for there to even appear to be any sort of intention or volition. Of course that could just be a huge trick anyway but what we know as objective reality gives me some clue. Everything would always appear to be just cause and effect never to amount to much more like our brain and life do.

I used to believe in the gods. But I realise that my lack of sensing them probably meant they werent actually literal beings.

To me God or Gods existing is not that important and may come down to arguing over what the terms mean.

What would be a game-changer to me would be that there is no 'so-called' afterlife whose state is contingent upon moral efforts in this life including the evolving of the constantly changing personality and soul. To me that would cause a loss of motivation to improve myself for such a short run.

No God would simply mean that there would be no knowing a sense of our world for a clue to think otherwise. Who would really want that?

Nothing would change.

Whether or not people believe that god exists makes a difference, but whether or not god actually exists does not.

If there is a god then I have not seen any evidence of direct interaction or anything of the sort. There's no need for a soul to explain life, (to me) afterlife seems unlikely, there's no evidence of miracles, etc. So, if god does not exist or does exist I can't really imagine any difference. There only stronghold god still really has is creation - so I suppose if God created the universe things would be 100% different without him - non-existence.
