What constitutes proof? The snowflake test.

It will always be a matter of choice.
Choose well....you will do well.

With so many copies of a device built for developing a mind and heart.....
and this would indicate an intent (on God's part)
choosing to fail with your chemistry seems .....odd.

What does evidences have to do with choice?

You can accept only evidences that agree with you or your belief (or your religion), but you can choose to reject evidences that doesn't agree with you?

That's what you seemed to be saying.

What has choice to do with LIFE?

A human, sentient life has the inherent ability, derived from its self-awareness, to choose between good and evil. If our life has any purpose at all, it's to see how we exercise our ability to choose.

Yeah.....and we take our decisions with us as we stand from the dust.

I believe we are here to learn all that we can before we die.
The body is formed to form spirit.
It can do nothing else.

Then I say.....the peace of heaven is guarded.
They won't let all of us in.
Heaven would be just like this life, if they did.

If there is a hereafter, we will be our own judges, unable to lie to ourselves, who see the beauty of what they've earned, or know they can't stand another minute in that self-judgement seat and push the mercifully provided oblivion button.

This again...really?

Must you rant on about "choice", which has no bearing on the topic? You have already hijacked another thread, about choices, must you really do here too?

Do you know this thread is about?

It is about what make "evidence" or "proof" - (scientific) EVIDENCE or PROOF, and what they are not.

But a person who make choices about his (or hers) life, don't constitute as evidence or choice of anything. This is not a thread about choosing if he will become a carpenter or singer. It is not about what cake to bake tomorrow or what top goes with that pair of shoes. This is not a topic on psychology or on social or cultural or political decisions. The topic is not about free will.

Seriously, if you want to discuss or debate about non-scientific matters about choices, then please feel free to start a new thread about subject, instead of your off-topic rambles that have nothing to do with "proof" or "evidence".

Either stick to the topic or start a new topic, but please, I am begging you to not hijack this topic too.

Do you think a snowflake choose to be snowflake? Or do think snowflake have the free will to choose to be a monkey or an orange? Or can the snowflake can be more ambitious and become the next US president or something more mundane like Joe the plumber or postman?

When I am talking about "life" as in biology, then I am talking about bones, blood, tissues, genes or cells. Do you think any of these can make choice like what the bones want to eat, or cells can choose to sing opera or do rap? Or can your kidney become an angel or god?

I don't mind you disagreeing with me, because this is a debate thread, but I would like at least like you to stay on topic when you are disagreeing with me.

Well, we might indeed feel bad about ourselves when we stand from the dust....
and we then see the end result of what we have become.

I would be more concerned what the angelic are going to ask.
I believe they will ask.....what we believe and why we believe it.

They could indeed respond....Who told you that?!
and why did you believe it?!

I see the scheme of things as potentially bad.
If I fail to speak well enough of God and heaven, they might turn away and leave me where I fell.
The devil could be near by....laughing.

THEN, the angelic, as they turn away.....might go looking for the guy that told me such things!

I have no means to assure you, all is well.
especially for those who choose less than they should.
