What Do We Owe God?

Assuming there is a god he doesn't guarantee that he will protect us if we are nice and do what he says.He doesn't guarantee he will give us food , protection , shelter etc and we are responsible for ourselves.Basically we ourselves provide everything to ourselves and deserve all the credit.Even if we assuime god created this game we call life still we are playing the game with our own willpower and he gave most people mostly suffering. So what do we owe to the god? Why?

I have found a pantheistic non-dual (God and creation are not-two) to be a more mature understanding of reality. So the question of "what do we owe God' does not really make sense. The goal is really just realizing the divinity within us and the Oneness with All/God.

If your question is serious, then I would say existence is not self-reliant, it relies on G-d to continuously will every atom into existence. In that respect, everything that you have is completely because G-d gave it to you. What you don't have, G-d didn't owe you in the first place. So in that respect, we owe G-d everything.

If you're just doing it to rant, then I don't have an answer for you.

So if someone tortures us we are indebted to him because he gave us pain?

In a respect, yes. Because whatever happens is ultimately beneficial, even if at the moment it appears detrimental. But that's a hard view for a person to maintain while undergoing suffering.

Really we just owe it to ourselves, our species, and our world to live the best life we can possibly live right now. And if there is a God he will see that we do try to do what is right and reward that. But this is simply a spiritual pipe dream as LaVey would say. I don't agree with everything LaVey has to say but I do believe that you must be unbiased in the examination of the self. If you listen to your heart then you will understand yourself and know whether or not you're good. And if you're not good or you could be better, try and change yourself.

Oh, so the purpose was to rant rather than debate or discuss.
Ok, well then in that case you're right, I have no good answer for you.

People owe god whatever they think they owe god. If you don't believe in god, the question is meaningless altogether.

Why would god be a part of the equation of finding who or what you owe your life to? Could it just be living life as is by finding your own meaning and means to owe yourself and your loved ones who may define the purpose of your life?

We don't owe anything to god. There is nothing we owe to others unless we take it without asking. Since we didn't choose to live, we make best with what we have. If that involves god, so be. That doesn't mean the rest of us owe our lives to "him".

You will be assimilated; it is His Will.

You do recognize, don't you, that some people commit suicide because they can no longer tolerate the "beneficial" pain they're undergoing. Or is suicide no longer a sin, but an acceptable response to suffering?

This is perfect. Be true to yourself, before you seek truth.
