I'm currently a bum, but I'm trying to get a hold of an old friend who sells yachts and work for him again.

I PM people on RF incessantly until they pay me to shut up.

I work two jobs, occasionally adding in a third when the need arises, and support my family of three.
Other than that, I just surf the web whenever I have free time.

I am retired, for many years, from not much. Almost anyone could do the things I have been paid to do.

I'm a transportation engineer. I tell people that on a good day, my job is doing math puzzles where, if I do them well, I prevent car crashes.

From computer software designing and coding.
Did I ever tell you that my parents did that? They had a home-based business doing custom software for different businesses and governments.

Well, here's hoping you have a lot more good days than bad ones!

No, you've never mentioned that. That's cool. I loved my work, but I was definitely ready to retire when I did.

 Were you disabled, or just fortunate enough not to have to work? My brother-in-law has been retired for about that long, but he is unfortunately unable to work.
I was never trained in anything worthwhile as I had dropped out of college. I am fortunate to have not had to work all these years, but I know how to live with a lot less than some people think that they might need. I spend less instead of making more.
