If I want to eat, I go to a restaurant. If I want to watch a film I go to a theater -- and hope there are no boorish philistines crunching away anywhere near me.

You probably wouldn't like the sports bar, with the TVs. There, the philistines are watching away as they crunch.

In a sports bar I'm not there to enjoy an artistic creation or be thought-provoked, plus I can drink myself into oblivion....
