What do you hang around your neck

It depends on what mood I'm in. I wear a necklace made out of shells sometimes, but mostly wear a pewter pentacle on a black cord. I also wear a star mood necklace when I feel like it.

Draka

Wonder Woman
My pentacle. I never take it off really. I also wear a celtic design astrological ring constantly as well.

I don't usually wear anything around my neck. I've never really liked things around my neck, well, nevermind, i wont' get into it here.

I wear the gnostic symbol of creation. I also wear crosses that were given to me on my Confirmation into the Episcopalian church. They are beautiful crosses. I like the more intricate ones... much like the avatar i have...
I like crosses that incorporate the male and female balance...

Do you mean Ra-Hoor-Khuit/Harpocrates/Horus??
Solon said:
No, I should of said the Eye of Horus, the Eye of the falcon
I thought that was what you meant. The other names I mentioned are considered names of Horus, Harpocrates being his name in Greek, and Ra Hoor Khuit when Horus is adult and a solar deity thus the use of the inclusion of the name Ra, the horus child being called Hoor Paar Kraat.

There's loads of stuff on this on the web.

Usually nothing, otherwise I have sterling silver pendant of the Green Man on a double leather cord that I wear when I am wearing something around my neck.

I remain bare-necked (not to be confused with bare nekkid').

In my days of youthful vanity, I wore a plain and unadorned silver necklace.

The only jewelry I wear today is my wedding ring.

Burden enough to bear. ;-)

S2a, make a spelling mistake ? - never! :D

I too wear a wedding ring, and a signet ring.;) (but I suppose the hand ought to be 'off-topic; pending moderation, I will self-flagellate with tuna)

"Jewelry" defined (and spelled, a la A-mer-i-can).

The defense rests, pending dismissal of all charges ;-)

Besides an albatross...

Just interested in how people might wear amulets and symbols which reflect their faith. Myself, I wear a silver Ankh, an owl pendant of Athena, and shock and suprise, a wooden crucifix, maybe I'm looking for some insurance. I'm not sure, but maybe the cross is a hangover from my Anglican upbringing. In anycase I never take it off.

Nothing. I live in TX, so if I wore anything, it would most likely be a pistol.:D

Flaming Queer
i wear a hematite ank, a pentagram, a cross (celtic in style) a silver dragon, a chinese "year of the rabbit" symbol, a "medic alert" dog-tag (for my diabetes) and a cheap wooden carving of a football on a length of string

each one of these is significant to me, and although they represent certain parts of my life, i would like to stress that they do not define my life, they are just expressions

I smell something....
I normally wear a silver pentacle but the chain on it broke recently and I have not been able to wear it. For some reason this part of Iowa has never heard of plain silver chains before:( . Now I wear a set of earplugs around my neck but only when I go to work.:)

I wear a silver Russian soldier's cross with blue enamel. I love it for all its symbolism even though I can't read the Church Slavonic it's inscribed with. You can se one here, if you're interested. Unfortunately the site doesn't allow you to copy images or I'd just paste a picture.

Hey James,

They are rather appealing pieces, especially the blue one, I'd wear one, regardless of my pagan beliefs.

thanks for shwing us that.

World's Tallest Hobbit
A small sliver of fluorite- my favorite crystal in the wide world of the Stone People- on a silver chain. I was clutching it yesterday when the plane took off, hehehee!

I hope to someday get a charm necklace, and add charms that fit the aspects of my personality I'm learning to celebrate.

To Save A Lamb
A necklace that has the symbols for Islam, Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, Taoism, and Hinduism all around a UU Chalice. I also have Arabic coin that says "Allah is Great" in a pretty wire holder and chain a man on the streets of Diamantina made for me. Sometimes I wear a very pretty silver Ank that my friend gave to me (only sadly, it is in America and I am not).

But these are usually hidden under my shirt. They're for me, not the world.
