I don't use butter on bread, but i do use a little in cooking.
I do like peanut butter and i do like jam/conserve/confiture but together it sounds revolting.

So neither

It would be bread and butter. And @JustGeorge what's wrong with you?:D Don't most naan and many other Indian bread recipes include butter or ghee?

If we were to discuss what's wrong with me, we'd be here all day. ;)

I don't like butter on my naan(or other flatbreads; paratha is my favorite). Its fine in the prep, but I don't like any added after.

Love bread and butter, but for my taste peanut butter is better with banana or green apples .

I love to mix peanut butter and strawberry preserves together and eat it with Arabic bread also on toast. I also eat on toast, butter and strawberry preserves but not a lot of butter.

both are good

I may be nit picking but I would still count that as bread and butter. When eating bread with a meal I will more often than not skip the butter.

When is it just bread and not bread and butter?

What about bread and spread?

That's on the menu tomorrow. Rye bread and radish spread. Wish me luck with the rye... I always have trouble getting it to rise.

Something is usually needed. Plain bread is not a favorite. Sometimes a simple homemade dip is nice. For Italian breads I like pressed roasted garlic, kalamata olives (also pressed) in EVOO.

I don't mind plain bread, if its a good loaf. I really like soda bread plain.
