What do you miss most about being a kid?

Pussyfoot Mouse

Super Mom
I miss my friends. Although some of them I still see today. I had such a wonderful childhood spent doing so many different things like swimming, playing tag, hide-and-seek, kick the can, chase.......etc! And I miss the sleep overs! Getting together with my girlfriends and talking about boys and other girls(shhh)! Doing eachother's makeup and pigging out and listening to music as loud as we were allowed to. :tsk:
But most of all I miss my parents, especially at this time of year! Christmas was always a big deal in my house and now I know it was my Mom and Dad who brought that magic with them. Well come to think of it, they brought that magic with them everywhere they went. :)

I really don't miss my childhood. I do miss when I was 17 though, before I tore my ACL. I never got carded for smokes (I think the freedom to have facial hair prevented that), I was an athletic machine, I could run or swim over a mile, have long free-style and greko wrestling matches, and even longer back-yard matches, I had no job, I made money from 2 or 3 wrestling events a month, and all my friends were still in the area.

Alas I do not, :(
Was there some life-changing event that changed your opinion on this, or do you see it as a natural part of growing up?

Believe it or not...school. Being with friends, hanging out at lunch and recess, (of course I'm talking elementary school here), classes about things I found interesting....I love to learn. I liked the walk to and from school. Playing in the open areas in my neighborhood (which unfortunately now is filled up with newer contemporary houses). I miss the open lots and trees and lilac bushes...the walks in the woods and along the creek. Boy...I sound a bit "Little House on the Praire" :)

She met him. Spinks has a very good second-hand reputation, but once you meet him, things always turn downhill.
