“The luminosity of darkness can be so bright that it bedazzles to the point of blindness and mesmerizes to the point of brainwashing. This is exactly what happened to me, and what is happening today to all those involved in the New Age Movement.

One night, while in the Ascension Chamber, my spirit was roaming some of the farthest reaches of "heavenly light" that I had ever perceived. That night I had an experience that would change my life forever.

As a matter of fact, yes. There was a court case against me, since according to the Judge of heaven and earth, the penalty of sin is death. Jesus saved me from the devil who was manipulating my life like a puppet on a string. One either belongs to the devil and is his captive heading…

No court, no judge, no witness, no punishment or reward after one is dead. All in your imagination.
No lollipops after death. Think of how much fuel will be required for an everlasting fire where your God is burning billions of souls.

Dont know much about it. Some their ideas seem expensive and i disagree with the law of attraction being taken to extremes like believing if you think about bad things bad things will happen to you...seems victim blamey to me. I also dont like the idea of indigo children an idea common in New Age circles... seems a way to make autistic folk be seen as otherworldly and has harmful effects...then theirs the terrible health advice that goes with it sometimes.

New Age is a range of spiritual or religious practices and beliefs which rapidly grew in Western society during the early 1970s. Although many scholars consider it a religious movement, its adherents typically see it as spiritual or as unifying Mind-Body-Spirit, and rarely use the term New Age themselves. Scholars often call it the New Age movement, although others contest this term and suggest it is better seen as a milieu or zeitgeist.

I would tend to agree with the above.

It seems to be attractive to credulous people who are susceptible to vagaries and lack of education or understanding of relevant known areas of knowledge.
They tend to rely on emotional response as opposed to rational thinking.

Fuel would only be required if it’s a physical fire, which I doubt is the case in the spiritual realm. A person’s own eternal conscience of sin and regret will probably provide all that is necessary for the endless burning of self-torment for rejecting the only Source of life, light, and all that is good.

What do you think about the New age movement?

the New Age movement is basically old style paganism (especially Hinduism) repackaged for the 20th century. Some of their practices are actually pretty good -- we know for example that regular meditation increases mental stability and over all well being. Other practices are simply superstition, long disproven by science, such as their interest in astrology and crystals.

On a personal level, I do not care for religions that make us into gods. I find it annoyingly arrogant.

A sister movement to contemporary Paganism that's more about above (ascension and progress myths) than below (earthiness and cyclical myths). I wrote a longer post around here somewhere highlighting some of the salient differences as studied by scholars of contemporary religion, but the blazes if I can actually find it. I get annoyed when folks conflate contemporary Paganism with the New Age movement, even if that's to be expected given theological and religious illiteracy is the norm in my country.
