If you have prayed for a long time to experience lucid dreaming or astral travel, and nothing happen.Same old.Same old.
May it be that God does not see it as a need for you to experience it, and that it is not nessesary for development in Christianity, but you craving it?

But since you ask, lucid dreaming is quite real, at least from the perspective of transactional reality. Lucid dreaming is the realization by one's dream character that one is experiencing and engaged in a dream. I've experienced lucid dreaming on several occasions. One could argue that I'm "lucid dreaming" as I type this.
I do believe we have an interpenetrating astral body that allows us to feel and think and be conscious. During sleep and periods of unconsciousness our astral body can separate from the physical body. For those with more advanced control of this, conscious attention can then be focused on the astral body and then can move about and can even see and experience things not within the range of the physical eyes.
