What do you think happens after we die and how does it make you feel?

I think that death is like sleeping except you never wake up which isn't so bad when one thinks about Hell however the idea of all my thoughts and everything that's in me just fading away seems worse that hell.

We sink into union with the creation and Creator. We remember that we are part of a greater whole.

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
I dunno about never waking up, yet I agree akin to sleep, there is no sense concernng the passage of time.

Its not so terrible and awful in my eyes in considering that all living beings have already defeated death by the process of birth. Unless of course you perceive pre-conception as being somehow different than post-decomposition. At any rate, life happens to manifest in great numbers under correct conditions, so there's no real reason to think the phenomena of life cannot ever re-manifest and the lights turn on.

After I die, I plan to have my ashes mailed in unmarked envelopes to every government office possible.
I feel pretty good about that.

I think that although our memory fade away after death, the memory bank is carried over to the next life to start storing the new experiences. Therefore, the next life form we take will be important.

I don't believe anything happens at death besides death. It's possible that something could happen, I suppose, but I don't see any significant evidence for it.

It doesn't make me feel anything. It is what it is.

i do not pretend to know what happens to our soul or spirit or essence or what ever you choose to call it, BUT my current theory is thus...

the spirit either dissapates and returns to the earth to be recycled. perhaps even reincarnated in some circumstances. or something halts the spirits"decomposition" for lack of a better word and you may wander around as a ghost or something of the sort.maybe a higher entity or "god" will pluck your spirit from earth and bring you elsewere..

basically what i'm say is.. i believe anything is possible and probably all of them are to some degree....

personally my goal is to gain the power and knowledge to not only hold my spirit together after i'm dead, but to grow powerful enough to float into the girls bathroom >:)

Why do you want to be a float in one of the toilets in the girl's bathroom after you die?

I don't know what happens to our conscious / energy / spirit after we pass. Sometimes that ignorance makes me feel uncertain and a little fearful, but the only way out is through. Or should I say the only way to beat it is to join it. On the other hand that ignorance makes me feel optimistic about the possibilities.

I believe we will experience, unadulterated, God's love for us.

I feel love, joy, anticipation, nervousness, and a little fear...

All theism aside:

If you've ever been knocked out cold in an accident or something, I could imagine that death is like that thick, dark shroud of nothingness thereafter. As much as we dread it, it is the ultimate peace, I think. Us clinging on to life is what brings fear of it.

Here's something to look at that I've always found extremely interesting about the human condition:

Everything in the clip is the same object,, you
It's the big cosmic joke.
