This is nothing new, one neurologist did research of clinical deaths and come to conclusion that these things are manifestations of "brain charges" (if I recall correctly) of a brain before dying out, he collected a lot of evidence in the profession, but no proof that this is to be attributed to brain charges only.

I am a believer. One thing the video missed and would have fit well was Veridical Near Death Experiences where an experiencer views physical events away from his body that are later verified to be accurate events like a conversation people were having in another room.

But the materialists will no doubt hang in there with the best possible explanation they can muster. As for a non-materialist like myself interested in Theosophy, Vedic (Hindu) and Spiritualist wisdom traditions this stuff fits hand in glove with what I believe.
