What do you think the outcome of this election will be?

I believe that Obama will win. First off, I think that McCain secured his loss when he chose Palin as his Vice President. In turn, Obama secured his win when he chose Joe Biden. When Obama wins, I believe he will be assassinated, so that Biden goes into power, so the people will have a nice "white face" as the president. Believe me, I'm not racist, however, I belive a lot of people won't stand for an african american in office. This is what I think, how about you?

Yeah, chances are that Obama's gonan win, but him being assissinated is basically zero to none. First off no one would really have a motive. The only people he would tick off woudl be the rich adn because the rich are smart enough to get all their money they probally wouldn't want to kill Obama when he's benefitting the country as a whole.

I think Obama will win, but it's really impossible to say. There are a lot of racists in this country, and the fact that some people won't vote for him because he's a democrat mixed with the fact that some people are racists might cause him to not win. He seems to be doing a lot better with the speeches and whatnot though, whereas McCain kind of just looks like a silly little lost old man. :D

I don't know if anyone will assasinate him if he wins though. Some people might try, but surely there will be lots of security for that reason.

Whatever else Obama is, he's a political genius such as this country seldom sees.

I see Karl Rove as a political genius. You have to give the man his due. He got the least inquisitive, morally challenged, arrogant, ignorant President into office - not once - but twice. Now THAT, my friend, is political genius.

Obama is a truly gifted speaker, riding a wave of disgust with the neocon's butchering of everything from the economy, the war in Iraq, and the erosion of our Constitutional rights.

I don't know that Obama will be the cure all that many people want him to be. But, I do know that McCain is controlled by the same neocons that control Bush, and I know that McCain has sold his soul over the last 24 months in an utterly transparent run at power.

Whoever wins, they will be in an incredibly difficult position the moment they step out of the limo and into the Oval office. Just avoiding action that exacerbates the problem will be no small feat.

I can only sum up by saying "Thank God that Lord Bush is at the end of his run".

I still maintain Obama is a political genius. That's a good thing. By the way, I don't think Rove is a genius in any sense of the word. It doesn't take a genius to screw up a country -- which is what Rove has helped do -- nor to win elections by very narrow margins -- which is what Rove has accomplished.

Conning 51% of the country into voting for a president whose IQ is the mean between Dan Quayle and Sarah Palin counts for something...

Nothing is going to change. Higher taxes on the wealthy? Think about it? Wealthy people don't need income. If you close your business doors and quit investing, your income will be zero. Tell me again how all these people are going to get tax cuts, free health insurance when the rich folks decide to quit investing?

We will be reduced to a third world nation of paupers. Perhaps the top 5% may decide to renounce their citizenship and live in the Caribbean.

Don't jump, Rick!! Come down off the ledge!!

Why makes you think that an owner will simply close the doors on their business? As a business owner, you know that owners already calculate the cost of taxes into the price of their products and services. That cost (like all other costs) are simply passed on to the customers.

On the off chance that a given owner did decide to shutter the doors, a competitor will move in to claim that market share.

I don't know why you insist on putting such nonsense out there. I know that you know better.

For the sake of humanity I hope that Obama wins, I have a gut feeling that McCain will though...

If Obama is elected we'll have a recession. If McCain is elected we'll have a Depression (with a capital "D").

Generally, the more money one has, the higher the bills cost. And just because someone is a business owner, doesn't mean they are wealthy. I know at least a few years back, it took, on average, five years for a new business to turn profit. I know one lady who did have her own business, and just when she started to turn profit, her life situations changed and she had to close her doors. And like TVOR said, if someone does close there doors, someone else will simply open them back up.

As someone who lives in Illinois and will be voting for the man, let me say that I believe him to be little more than an intelligent and effective centrist enabled by an exceptionally intelligent and effective political machine. He has done exceedingly little to warrant the title genius - far less, for example, than had President Clinton when he ran for his first term or, for that matter, Hillary Clinton today.

Of course, compared to Bush he may well appear to be a genius, but compared to Bush the same might be said of Texas roadkill.

Everyone has it all figured out. An Obama presidency will be all campaign and roses.

I'm not going to waste my breath trying to explain why small business owners are going to get screwed royal on taxes under Barrack Obama's plan. It is quite apparent that many of you along with your Messiah have no clue about running a small business and employing folks and keeping the books in the black.

So that we have this straight, few of the top 5% are small business owners and don't need an income. They will be paying zero taxes if they don't have an annual income next year.

And another thing..... Many people who where well off just took a royal beating in the market. They will be listing losses not gains and their tax liability will be zero as well.

This is for real, TELL ME AGAIN WHO IS GOING TO PAY FOR ALL THE THINGS BARRACK OBAMA HAS PROMISED EVERYONE?
