If it is true, then I wonder if "private" status contributes to your appreciation the nose, kind of like how many people in the West fetishise breasts partly because they're normally covered up in public?

For me being a portrait painter, the eye's, if you get the eye right then you have captured the image of the person, even if you don't get any other area right such as the nose, the mouth, or whatever.

Yes, but that's just the usual thing and in some circumstances women show their faces. In closed places like shopping malls, resorts and hospitals, many of them show their faces and I noticed this in Jeddah. That's for Saudi women tho. Non Saudi women most of the time, if not almost always, have their faces uncovered, and some of them even their hair in the mentioned places. But the thing is, due to my teachings and (self)respect, even non- relative Saudi women with uncovered faces, I avoid looking at them out of courtesy. The vast majority of relative women like female cousins, male cousins' wives and uncles' wives show their faces with me tho, so I guess the case is much less effective than the breasts case in the West. By the way, I mainly think of it with women on the media. Sometimes it feels weird to me seeing Miss (Something) contests crowning some women I see not special looking, or girls calling an average guy handsome... just because of the nose. I even criticize my own nose!

Like, what is the first, or most, facial feature you subconsciously look at that gives you the impression of how face looks feel like to your preferences?

For me, I think it's the nose. The nose alone could be the judge on the handsomeness/beauty of the face. Other facial features are important too, but the nose is the most critical part to judge. Many different eyes, mouths, brows, foreheads and cheeks match my preferences, but the nose is the one that's so hard on them.

Of course God's creation is dignified and I respect all kinds of looks and wouldn't judge them in person or lack of good looks, since it is subjective. All I'm talking about is my preferences as a person. I respect you all regardless to your looks.

After the first recognition of beauty, I would agree with you. a nose takes a critical part in making a face beautiful.

Hmm.. I'm not sure if I have an answer to that question. I guess it spontaneously comes to me as I see the face when I first look at the noes. Basically, I like it straight, medium sized, with no curves, with the least circular edges possible, and straight medium sized nose trills. I'm not even sure if this description makes sense!

As for a direct answer to your question... It's embarrassing for me to give names even if I had some in mind right now. I already feel embarrassed saying the about
