What does humanism mean to you?

I meant Secular Humanism. I don't know what to make of spiritual Humanists, actually. I know they believe in some bizarre things, but they essentially hold the same morals as Secular Humanists. Which I think is good.

Humanism? It sounds like something a human might do.

Such as: "The humans have several humanisms, such as bowing down to authority, hoarding money, and loving to talk about themselves."

Secular humanism means to me if something is wrong....it is up to us to fix it....period......Leave morality out of it for a second.....If you don't like the mess you are sitting in, then do something about it here and now......or sit in your mess.....This is it, folks!...This is not a dress rehearsal for something better that someone else will fix.

Humanism could mean different things to different people, so what does humanism mean to you, personally?

to me humanism is a philosophy that encourages high moral and ethical standards derived from common sense and without regard to religious dogma.
