What does your avatar tell about you?

Mine has a quircky smile to remind me not to take you all (or myself) so seriously. The backdrop is Van Gogh Houses. The picture is the face, standing in front of the picture, which is the world.

Mine is "Expectations" by Lawrence Alma-Tadema. It seems to capture at once the immediacy of desire and the hesitancy of doubt, which sums up my spiritual sensibility. Plus it's lovely and romantic, one of which I am and the other I am not.

When I first joined, I had a cross for my avatar. I found too many people were taking me too seriously, so I changed it to Tigger, and Tigger it has remained since! Tigger is one of my favorite cartoon characters and the least serious one of them all. I wanted to let people know I wasn't overly serious and that I have a "bouncy" side, too. :) :tigger::tigger::tigger:

Mine has changed a lot. I don't remember my first avatar. I know it was Rin from Vocaloid for awhile because I love Vocaloid. Then I had it as Ben and Albedo for Ben 10: Alien Force for a couple months because I like Ben 10 a lot. Then I had it as myself just recently for awhile; I like how that picture looked.. Now, its Lightning from Final Fantasy 13. Right now, my avatar says that I love Lightning and I think she's cool.

This is the only one I've ever used, and I don't see myself changing it in spite of being tempted on occasion. It screams "tree hugger" without being in-yo-face Pagan.

I've had a lot, actually, but just a few I can find on my photobucket:

Below this line are ones I have made:

Also some I can't find as I uploaded them directly to the website, such as my heptagram for example and other symbols.

I've also liked to play around with my user title and listed religion QUITE a lot, changing it up every two weeks to a month. I remember once my whole profile was pink, avatar, sig, everything. Another time "love and kittens" was my title and "destruction and lols" was my religion :D

So I've been totally serious as well as totally laid back at different times on these forums. If it said anything about me, it would say I'm bipolar and/or heavily into dualism, and actually I'm both of those. :)

Been reviewing my psychology lessons for the final exams when an interesting thought (well at least to me. :p) suddenly "dawned" to me. I've read that a person's handwritting, fave color, choice of clothes, etc. can tell something about his personality. It's either that person is aware of that aspect in his/her personality or it lies somewhere in his/her subconscious. So yeah, I've wondered if the person's avatar can work the same way. IMO, it is a possibility.

For example, my avatar here on RF is an angel. I chose it personally because it kinda represent me. I chose an angel with a black hair and blackish, brownish eyes to represent my decent, I'm an Asian and proud of it. Just an info, East and South East Asians have black hair and blackish or brownish eyes. The angel also has a sword, indicating that I'm a bit protective on some things (my gf, my family, etc) and that I am an "achiever". I do my best in everything I do, especially my studies. Angel wears white clothes. In that case, that color represents simplicity; and I prefer being simple. Another thing is that the angel I chose is not smiling, hence it represents my serious side. I joke at times, but most of the time, I am serious and quiet (so when I crack a joke here in the forum, it's usually corny. :D). Just sharing.;)

I have no problem stating that my avatar is how I look at most people.

Lost and disappointing.

It's a rabbi with an iPod... it's a chaiPod.

Someone created this image as a "bumper sticker" on facebook. I thought it was fun, so now it's my avatar.

I like being unambiguous about exactly who I am since the internet is a source of socialization for me. I don't know what it says about me. I know I can be a bit vain, so maybe my avatar is always pictures of myself because I think this song is about me?

some porn is ok, but not that kind of sfuff

Torture porn isn't sexual porn, it has no hint of sexuality in it. It's a term for really hack and slasher horror movies more or less that is all about gore instead of suspense or actually fear.

Now there is is BDSM...
