And that would be moral evil, an unjust act deliberately inflicted on another.
I asked you a question: is it a inevitable component of human nature?

Isn't that the implication of original sin?
Isn't that the implication of original sin?
Not necessarily. And btw...Soros clearly said he believes in no God.
Which is a very coherent position.
Not necessarily.
For what we know God loves capitalists who think only for themselves and do not care of the consequences.

Well, then you would have a point if He said He does not believe in the God that rewards Mother Teresa and condemns ruthless capitalists.I think the notion of God is very subjective.
My God loves social justice.
My God despises selfishness and greed .
Well, then you would have a point if He said He does not believe in the God that rewards Mother Teresa and condemns ruthless capitalists.
but to claim disbelief for all gods is not necessarily compatible with Soros nature, unless we beg the question that there can only possibly the God you believe in.

Several Nazis believed themselves to be Christians, and even many non-Nazis considered their "crusade" against communism a godly one. So clearly, people can believe they are defending Christianity even when they are doing the exact opposite by behaving in a banal, brutal and animalistic manner. As Hannah Arendt wrote in A report on the banality of Evil , evil is always brutal and animalistic. Banal.
God is Wisdom and Love.
As I wrote in post #44, Nazi crimes are an example of the sadistic nature of evil.
And sadism is the consequence of the absence of empathy.
And it is light years away from God.

If God is Wisdom and Love, then that means the discrimination, oppression or persecution of people based on their sexuality, ethnicity, skin color, or country of origin is un-godly. The mistreatment of refugees and LBGTQ people, for example, would be an Unchristian and Ungodly act. Don't you think so, too?
My point is that he would be more coherent if he believed in a God that rewards ruthless capitalists, and punishes the poor. I mean, why not? Such a God is as likely as a God that does the contrary. Or even more plausible, considering how the world works.Exactly.
That is why he is very coherent, saying there is no god, there is no afterlife.
Unlike those ruthless Capitalists who claim to believe in an afterlife.
But they ignore that in the afterlife, we will be tried by God. There will be a trial.
Soros does not believe in any afterlife, so what he thinks is that he will never be judged for his actions, not even when he dies.
That is why he says he doesn't care of the consequences of his actions.
It is a very coherent stance.
