I guess the thread title says it all; what does give you the will to live?

Obviously this is open to everyone. I am aware that many here have had a hard life.....maybe this is more addressed to you, but I would be interested in all responses.

WOW, how many do you want to hear..
My friends and all the good times I have is enough alone.
With that, all the questions I haven't answered yet. All the questions I didn't even find out about.
All the new inventions wich I find so beautifull. the beauty of the future.

and by my believes, there is nothing more than life. after that, it's over. No more bouncing ball. So, if it's all I have, it's all I'll use :)

I have this feeling that underpins (and undermines) everything I do. Its like curiousity, anger, stubborness, fascination and love all in one. Its been there for my entire life, it is my life!

Interesting concept. I believe all animals have a will to live, it's bread into us, a part of us, the will to survive, but humans, at times can loose that will. You can have a sick whale beach itself, or an old member of a heard to weak to try and survive, but humans, physically fit are the only animals that I know of that can loose that will. Something you will never see is a zebra, who he just caught his mate with another zebra, walk up to a lion and say "Please eat Me!"
Personally, what gives me that will is my wife. My love for her and not wanting to go a day without her.

Hope that I can find someone to care about. So far I've come up with nada. There's a ways to go yet.

God and my faith in Him and in all the promises that He prepared for the believers. My faith in God helps me to face life with all its ordeals and hardships. Thanks be to Allah for that.

Peace

I hear kids a lot (expected it also..)

For those who choose kids or wife or so as reason to live. What was your reason before?

I've noticed this too. While other animals spend their entire day struggling to survive, most of us eat, create shelter, and procreate without much thought or struggle. I think survival is probably the basic purpose for our lives, but its so easy for us, it can make life feel empty and meaningless at times.

What gives me the will to live? Friends, family, cute girls, and knowledge that I may be making some difference in the lives of others, even though it may be an exclusive group of people.

Better enjoy it while it last.:disco:

my eternal undying faith in my Most Holy Xbox 360, and my greater faith that Bill Gates will create new, kickin' games for me to put inside the Holy Receptacle and marvel in their beauty.

That's a good question; as it is, I have both (for now), but I have no will to live.
