What has Jesus Done For you?

Do your friends all drive porches?
Were you trying to make a mends?

In all seriousness, though, I'm reminded of a tale (which I call the parable of the cop-out answer) in which a little girl asks for, i dunno, some piece of crap that little girls enjoy playing with. She never got it. She asks her mum 'Why didn't god answer my prayer?' The mum replies, 'He did answer you, my darling, and the answer was no.'
My favourite story is the one where the little boy was praying for a brand new bike. The priest told him he should pray for material gains, he should pray for the good of others, and for forgiveness of his own sins. So he went out and stole a bike, then he prayed for forgiveness and that the boy he stole from would get a new bike.

:p

Other than conquering sheol…

like what has he actively done in your lifetime to make him known in your heart?

Nothing. There are reports of Him having taken a couple of days off for our sins 2,000 years ago, but they are not confirmed.

I believe you have no way of knwing what Jesus is doing for you. Of course I believe He could do more if you would let Him.

HEATHEN ALASKAN
I take Christ Jesus to be an Avatar of God. As such, this song expresses how I feel about Him:

When righteousness declines and wickedness is strong
In the dawning of an age as a new age comes along
That's when I rise again, again, again to light the flame
Of truth within the world of men

I am light, I am truth, I am the fire of the sun
I am the hope of all the earth the power of the one

`When men have lost their way and know not where to turn
And the future seems to lay where the fires of hatred burn
That's when I rise again again again to light the flame
of love within the hearts of men

I am light, I am truth, I am the fire of the sun
I am the destiny of man, the Spirit of the one

When ignorance has bound the hearts of men in fear
And men cry out for help, and no one seems to hear
That's when I rise again, to break the bonds enslaving men
To let a new world be born.

I am light, I am truth, I am the fire of the sun
I am the hope of all the earth the triumph of the one.

Well, at least that song seems to recognize that he is another Sun God.

He continues to love me and call me to Him even when I reject Him and spit in His face. He never lets me go or abandons me. When I am in the dark, He is the Light Who guides me. He is my Hope and my soul's one true love.

Wow, I'm away for a few days and come back to find you're religion is not Catholic (again) but Luciferian polytheist. It's not the first time you've changed as it seems to occur repeatedly and from my perspective indicates spiritual confusion...but I will say that one thing you don't seem confused about and appear to understand is the unsurpassed real love of Jesus.

Personally, I'd take Jesus over therapy any day and every moment.

Well, if it works for you...it doesn't for me, other than making me feel "lovey-dovey" at times. Medication has helped me a lot more than Christianity, when it comes to my severe depression. While Catholicism has a beautiful aesthetic in some respects, all the guilt and shame really isn't worth it at the end of the day.

Oh, and before you start preaching to me about "finding Jesus" in other ways - I'm not interested and such talk isn't helpful to me.

Okay...I was mistaken, clearly you don't know the real Jesus. If so, words like lovey-dovey wouldn't even come to your mind. Anyway, I'm too tired tonight to talk any longer, so don't worry about any further discussion on the subject. Goodnight.

Yeah, whatever. Bye.
