Just another face in a sea of humanity, as far as anyone knows. :D

Other than that, I'm interested in cultural art, bushcrafting, guitar (and music), religion, ancient history, machinations of the mind, science, technology, the great outdoors, and life in general. Somehow I manage to merge some of those things together in my own way. ;)

I am in USA. A million dollars isn't um enough to do anything with except to live out your boring life with. Catch up to inflation, for goodness' sake!
Sorry, a line from a one-upon-a-time popular song...and at this point in my life, a million dollars would be plenty to finish out my life...

At another site I was on, I held the title of Resident Smart@$$. I'm trying my best to be that here, but there's so much competition...

Buddha Dharma

Dharma Practitioner
I am a very traditional Buddhist, like you won't encounter too much outside of historically Buddhist countries. I believe in Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, deities, Mara, demons- pretty much the traditional cosmology.

I chant the mantras fully believing they are meritorious and salvific. I'm a universalist in the Lotus Sutra sense- that at the exact right time the Buddha will save all beings from suffering. Already now, he saves them under seemingly different ideologies and forms, but as the Lotus Sutra teaches- they're really all just the Buddha. I believe in the Devas, Kami, and some other pantheons- as Buddhists are typically polytheist in history. I believe the gods assist us in all kinds of ways also.

Esoteric Mahayana historically teaches a Dharma seal- which seals all Buddhists for better rebirths from the Buddha's merits. This sealing is done by the primordial Buddha manifestation, Vairocana. I believe that too.
