thats true. But who says I'm not halfway through my life already. I'd be willing to bet I've already hit my halfway point. I have gone through all of my "mid life crisis'". Now I've gone through them, I wait for the near end.

I'd suggest trying to lighten up. You sound tense. Stop and smell the flowers, admire a rainbow, join a real life group. It's not all doom and gloom.

A midlife crisis is when you reach the inside feeling of being middle aged, and you are no longer still a young person inside an older person's body. Up to a certain point in time, you can be a blend of the present; nearing middle age, and the past; still youthful; work hard and play hard, stay in shape to show yourself, you can still do it.

Some people have a problem letting go and retooling, for the next journey from middle age to retirement. They reach for their youth in one desperate act of defiance to fight the dying of that light of youth. Some older women may feel empty nest and want another baby or some men might buy a sports can and start to date young chicks. Eventually they leave the state of denial and accept the turning of the page; crisis over.

This leads to significant and impulsive changes, such as quitting his job, or leaving his wife and children for a hot babe.
