What is free will?

I'm betting, even there grammar applies, when we're discussing the quantum realm in English. :)

Doesn't always makes sense and makes weird references like free will, will is necessarily determined. The quantum isn't necessarily determined by prior causes, there are too many un-caused causes.

There are some experiments suggesting that we make the decisions subconsciously before we're even aware of it. When we are made aware of the decision we already made, we think we're in control if it. So it's possible that free will is an illusion.

Also, you cannot be conscious of a thought before you think it. Therefore, we cannot even consciously determine our thoughts. Remember that cause always precedes effect.

Interesting research. I'm going to read it a bit more tomorrow.

I remember that on one science show years ago, they talked about how speech works. And the funny thing was, in English at least and probably in other languages too, the ending of one word changes a little depending on the beginning of the next, and there was some evidence that we form the lips and prepare our vocal box for the next word to come while finishing the previous word. We're not even aware of doing it. Our body knows what we're about to say before we're aware of saying it.
