What Is God's Purpose?

Reading through this thread, I've noticed that most people have not offered opinions on what God's purpose is. The focus has been on the purpose of humans, and how their approach, opinion, judgement, etc of God is wrong or incorrect (in the opinion of the poster).

I think the thread's title offers the more interesting question than those that people have largely chosen to answer.

What is God's purpose?

Note this is not "What is God's purpose for creating humans", which many people have answered. The question is: What is God's overall purpose?

I think that is a very provocative, but ultimately, unanswerable question. Sure, we can all have a million opinions, but I don't think even the major religions really adequately answer this. It's always about the reason for human's existence. But what about the reason for God's existence? What's his story?

It would be a unique story.
Unless the rest of life.....He had no birth.

Purpose?.....as if to say 'I AM!'.....is not satisfying?

Jesus in me
From the Baha'i scriptures:

“O SON OF MAN!
“Veiled in My immemorial being and in the ancient eternity of My essence, I knew My love for thee; therefore I created thee, have engraved on thee Mine image, and revealed to thee My beauty. “
―The Hidden Words, Part One, #4

”O SON OF BOUNTY!
“Out of the wastes of nothingness, with the clay of My command I made thee to appear, and have ordained for thy training every atom in existence and the essence of all created things. Thus, ere thou didst issue from thy mother’s womb, I destined for thee two founts of gleaming milk, eyes to watch over thee, and hearts to love thee. Out of My loving-kindness, ’neath the shade of My mercy I nurtured thee and guarded thee by the essence of My grace and favor. And My purpose in all this was that thou mightest attain My everlasting dominion and become worthy of My invisible bestowals….” [emphasis added.]

Maybe God's overall purpose is to experience itself through each individual physical being in order to know itself. That would mean all is God having a physical experience instead of being stuck in a conceptual realm?

The OP was a 2 part question. The first is asking how people treat God and why (which I tried to answer) and the second part is a hypothetical that no human can answer so I answered that with "I have no idea."

Do you believe a lot of people been treating God as a slave or a pet? As in, we use God for our own passions and desires. What are your thoughts?

Is that what God is really here for? Our expectations of God? Is there a higher purpose? If there is a higher purpose, why do we even begin to judge God on how he serves us?

If we infer God's purpose from the apparent level of effort he expended on difcerent things, then we would have to say that his purpose is mainly concerned with hydrogen.

If (for reasons I don't understand) we decide to limit ourselves to life, the God is all about bacteria.

If God's efforts are proportional to the significance of a thing in his design, then humans are a blip of an afterthought.

People expect god to be interested in us for some idiotic reason. Mankind is the most sinful, destructive, egotistical, selfish, greedy and disease like creature to walk the face of the earth. It is harsh but also true.
We have killed so many people in our existence that we can assign 10 corpses per person across the world. We have looted, pilfered and wreaked havoc so many times that we have put Satan himself to shame. I seriously doubt that god finds us of such importance that he must always answer our prayers.
I also find it very intelligent that you have asked "what is god's purpose" since most people ask this question in reverse. To the human, god is the source of everything that we wish to become. He is all knowing, omnipotent, and beyond our intellect. God is the center of worship which as humans we all hold inert worshipable desires. God is the unexplained of this reality and many more like it no doubt. God's purpose is simply to transcend existence and maintain it at the same time.
