What is going on in Orlando lately? :/

Within the past few days in Orlando, Florida:
- Singer Christina Grimmie was gunned down while signing autographs for fans after a concert. The killer committed suicide at the scene. No motive as of yet.
- The Pulse nightclub massacre.
- A boy has apparently been eaten by an alligator. They are now searching for the alligator and the boy.

Just reminds me of the old saying of "it comes in threes". Very strange. :/

(Was just a thought.)
It's Florida having a bad year.

Well, Disney probably shouldn't have built an attraction by water populated by alligators, then not provide barriers and put up signs warning of alligators. It's not like it's the alligator's fault. I sense a lawsuit coming and they deserve it.
Pftahahahaha.

It's a man-made lagoon! They built it!

God is punishing Orlando for the existence of Disney World.

Hey guys, I just thought of something, this could actually have something to do with a Nazi Conspiracy.

What? Me worry?

I would be really surprised if Disney put the gators there. The alligators probably found the lake naturally. However I agree with that there should be a lawsuit against Disney for not policing the lake better, especially since there were small humans playing in and around the water.

I might have just missed this, but I'm still trying to figure out if it was a legitimate body of water kids were allowed to be in/near, or if the family was somewhere they weren't supposed to be.

If I am not mistaken it was a man-made lake beside one of the hotels.

Sure, but like a "come swim here" one or a decorative "stay out of this area" one?

Central Florida is a naturally swampy place. There are over 1000 lakes within Orlando city limits. That's why we don't have nice square street grids. Regarding the Disney lake, there are several natural bodies of water around. Disney had posted signs saying not to swim there without giving a reason why. (Probably not good for public relations). Their new signs will actually mention the dangers of alligators.

They are not allowed to exterminate all the alligators due to environmental and state laws.

Yikes is that right? I didn't even think of that. Is the idea that once a gator gets the taste of human, they will go after more humans?

I wouldn't have thought we tasted that good.

Here's an idea though...how about remove ALL the alligators from amusement parks where small children wander around. I don't get how it got there in the first place...but I admittedly haven't read the details.

It's exactly the same thing as around the country when a wolf or a bear or a shark or some predator attacks a human. The authorities try to go after the one specific animal. Typically humans don't try to exterminate an entire species when one of them attacks us.

This is what I was looking for, thank you. So there were signs posted not to go there. I'm certainly not saying anyone deserves to have their child eaten by an alligator, but if it was posted as a no-no zone you have to put this on the parents.
