I believe that happiness is whatever you make it to be. I personally believe that happiness is a feeling of inner peace and apreciation of life. Without happiness, we would have no compassion, no love, no feelings of gratitude towards our fellow human beings.

As an entity of intelligence, we sometimes overlook the basic priciples of life. With love comes happiness, with anger and hate comes suffering. I know it sounds daft, but if you watch Star Wars, then you will know that what Master Yoda says is actually true in this day and age.

There was a TV advert in NZ that went like this

at 18, success is having your drivers licence
at 21, success is having sex
at 30 success is having money

at 60, success is having friends

I think happiness is similar, in the way it depends on what you value and the way you view the world
