Rām is Lord Rāma, Sri Rāmachandra. Hindi tends to drop short 'a' in certain places. Rāma becomes Rām; rāga becomes rāg; devanāgarī becomes devnāgarī.
Gandhi is (apocryphally) said to have said "Hey Rām!" ("O God!") when he was shot.

I love that Gurbani! One of our Hare Krishna bands, Gaura Vani and As Kindred Spirits, sang that very Gurbani when we have our Kirtan Vancouver 2010 event. It was a beautiful song to me!
Glad you liked it too, Gaura Priya
I have not found another one like it, with the same universal embrace and style. I would have liked to hear it live.
