What is normal today?

What is the framework of normality (norm)? This is the level of God's condonation of evil.
"Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you?" Matthew 17:17.
In Paradise, it will be zero, but today's condonation should not exceed a certain percentage. But under the Biblical Antichrist, any corruption will be condonationed, and the condonation level is 100%. Believers are forbidden to do even 0.0001 percent of evil in their lives...........................]

I find the 'put up with you?' also applies to those ridiculing scribes who were making trouble for Jesus' disciples.
Jesus then turns his attention to that distress father and says, " Bring him (the boy) to me."- Matthew 17:14-18.
By Jesus healing the boy Jesus was giving us a preview, a coming attraction of what Jesus will be doing on a grand international global scale during his thousand year reign over Earth when everyone on the paradisical earth will be healthy as described in Isaiah 35th chapter. The humble meek who inherit the Earth will then have righteous leanings and won't want to do any evil.

There is No capital letter "A" for any anti-Christ in Scripture. Everyone against Christ is: anti-Christ.

Longer than you'd expect, perhaps ─
Mark 9:1 And he said to them, “Truly, I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death before they see that the kingdom of God has come with power.”
Mark 13:28 “From the fig tree learn its lesson: as soon as its branch becomes tender and puts forth its leaves, you know that summer is near. 29 So also, when you see these things taking place, you know that he is near, at the very gates. 30 Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away before all these things take place.
Matthew 10:23When you are persecuted in one place, flee to another. Truly I tell you, you will not finish going through the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes.
Matthew 16:28 Truly, I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death before they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.”
Matthew 24:32 “From the fig tree learn its lesson: as soon as its branch becomes tender and puts forth its leaves, you know that summer is near. 33 So also, when you see all these things, you know that he is near, at the very gates. 34 Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away till all these things take place.
Luke 9:27 But I tell you truly, there are some standing here who will not taste death before they see the kingdom of God.” So guess who's running two thousand years late?

The ^above^ is about seeing the Transfiguration VISION - Please notice Matthew 17:9 it was a VISION.
Jesus was giving them a foregleam picture about the future coming 'Glory Time' for Jesus - Matthew 25:31-34.

Please quote me the words of the text that say it's a vision ─ in each case.

I don't think you can do that, because they're not there.

Instead, they're the kind of words you might well expect to hear because ─ as I mentioned before ─ Jesus, like John the Baptist and many other Jewish preachers and writers going back a century or two, believed that the end times were imminent, when Roman rule would be thrown off and Jewish independence restored and just as Jesus is quoted as saying, the Kingdom would very shortly be established on earth and the Jewish god would be triumphant and rule it all through [his] envoy or deputy, the Son of Man.

Your problem is that this didn't happen ─ rather the sack of Jerusalem and the fall of the Temple and the diaspora happened.

Okay. Would piercings fall into that as well I wonder?

What a good question, and I think it would be good to compare Biblical piercings with modern day.
We find the 'ear' was pierced at Exodus 21:6, but today some people go to extremes.
Seems that 'ear' piercing would be a conscience matter in light of Scripture.
Whereas, there was no choice given concerning tattoos for the body.

Matthew 17:9 KJV " Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man,..." (Notice the word VISION)
Luke 19:11KJV " ....because they thought the kingdom of God should immediately appear."
Verses 12 to 15 Jesus explains that he would first go away before he would later return - Psalms 110
Compare Mark 13:34-35
