What is something you learned today?

I learned not eating for about a 20 hour period then attempting strenuous labour will result in easily pulled muscles. A 100 degree heat index also makes the situation much more unbearable.

Peppermint tea reminds me of marijuana. (Actually, I learned that yesterday, but I haven't been up long enough today to learn anything.)

MaddLlama

I learned how to make a skinner blend.

Oh, and I also learned that Premo clay is very crumbly. =(

I learned that Sweden has followed a very 'distributionist' economic policy for the past forty-odd year....and it works.

I learned that despite having glimpsed the big empty void beyond, the thing I'm still afraid of is people.

I learned that Sikhs have a religious obligation to keep their heads covered. Up until now, I thought that the turban was only a practical way for Sikh men to keep their long hair neat (which I did know they have a religious obligation not to cut).

Two things today:

1: Scandinavians probably know better than to drive fast in icy conditions.

2: Pleading guilty to taking bribes in exchange for your votes as a Congressman will not prompt the GOP to ask you to no longer vote in the Legislature, but propositioning a cop for gay sex in a restroom will.

"Joseph Weill, who inspired the movie "The Sting," rented abandoned banks and convinced businessmen that he had set up a genuine bank. He waited for them to deposit large sums of money before shutting down and moving on to the next town. This, plus some of his other scams, earned him over $6,000,000."

It was in the Kaleidoscope.
