Can you flesh out this argument that "[we] are responsible for the actions of our nations"? What extent do you believe this? What is included?
It seems like you are basing this on nothing more than an unsubstantiated prophecy, am I wrong? There is no evidence pointing to the United States being "Babylon", unless you have a confirmation bias and you subconsciously accept that judgment day is a certainty. In other words, this is circular reasoning, as you are assuming your conclusion (that judgment day is real, will some day come, and that a major civilization will be wiped out in one day) in your premise. If a person feels no responsibility for their nations actions, than a person does nothing to prevent it, and also is likely to fight a war to defend those actions.
The Bible talks about a weapon of indignation, which totally wipes out a nation referred to as Babylon. Some suggest it is USA, which could be, but could be something else.
Indignation is defined as "anger or annoyance provoked by what is perceived as unfair treatment." This suggests that one of the super powers is likely to push their bullying just a little to far, and go over the line, and then that nation will be totally wiped out in one day.
What about the "innocent civilians"? Do they deserve to be wiped out? Think about it. Who pays them taxes? Who waves the flag, and supports the troops? Who buys their products and feeds the economy that makes them strong? Who believes the propaganda of their newspapers? Who hates the people who they are told to hate? Who feeds them the power that they live off of? Where does the whole atmosphere of selfishness, greed, arrogance and hatred come from that makes them mistreat others the way they do?
The experts have just set the doomsday clock forward by 2 minutes, it is now 3 minutes to midnight. That is a jump of 40% closer to the end of the world in the experts opinions. And yet, almost nobody does anything to prevent it. Nothing to stop their nation from doing its criminal wars, or to end poverty which is the key to World Peace.
The key to World Peace and preventing Judgment Day is ending poverty. You can't have a "weapon of indignation", if everyone is treated fairly. If everyone has fairly equal power, in terms of money, there is no indignation at all.

You forgot to mention an abundance of water (In the north anyway) and the best beers, most local breweries and cricketI'm gonna go ahead and say the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is the best country. I am extremely biased as I live here, I will happily admit.
The real home of liberty, the best form of government (go home America, the founding fathers loved the British style and tried to copy it ), all that wonderful history, the glorious Empire (which did have its positives no matter how left-wing you pretend to be), and of course the monarchy. God save the Queen!
We also have the one and only NHS, our free healthcare service, which some say is overrated, and some say is bloated, and perhaps it is, but it is a little jewel of ours I believe.
Sweden and other nordic countries. No overpopulation but also civilized. The believe in humanity. Thats the best base for any peaceful religion if i had one.
Personally, i like a clear cold breath in my mind the most. Even if i also like to surf the tropic waves. ....

What? At least we don't pay taxes, medical care is cheap and good and sometimes free, they pay us in college, gas is dirt cheap, education is free, etc.
