I'll post read, had to stick some right here,
Thought's don't come as often as they did ...
I promise to read some...

What are the BEST religions ?
The punctuation of the title says it all !
What 'IS' the best Religion ?
Is the god so named, or does it have to be capitolized !
Is your supreme leader Moses, God, Jesus, Muhhamad, Mary, Joseph, or all our arab brothers.
Or is your supreme one called "GOD ALMIGHTY", and do you fear the love from Him !
I don't really get it, all I got is this old Oak, and skin like me.
Good Sun and water aplenty, orchids bloomin in the trees,
Baby squirrels and doves twitterin all about, and all the critters around,
What's the BEST ?? I got it right here.

But, go about your business, don't worry about me !
One of the doves just crapped on me, maybe there is .......

Good Religions (revised)
1) Influences its members
2) Have interactive members and activities
3) Have good people following it
4) People follow because they want to, not because they're forced to
5) Teach others philosophy and morality
6) Central figure is dead

Does Paganism influence its members? Yes. Does paganism have interactive members and activities? The organized ones do. Do they have good people following it? Most Pagans are good people. Are people forced to be in Paganism? No. Do they teach others about philosophy and morality? The organized ones do. Is the central figure dead? There's no central figure in most Pagan circles, therefore the question is null. Let me ask you something, the good religions qualifications might not apply to you, but does the bad religions qualification apply? Certainly not!
Thanks for working that out. It makes much more sense when you look at a religion's effect on its own people. After thinking about that last point I do have to agree with you. For religions with a central figure, the ones that are still living have a bad reputation for being cults! :p

He's following the revealed religion's definition of what constitutes a true religion: a true religion must be revealed. Convenient, isn't it?

No it's not convenient. It's insulting, to a lot of people. I'm not mad just annoyed. Was this thread made just for someone to be high and mighty? Or was it made out of not knowing anything about this Forum?

According to your law everyone can have his own ways. So one can practice justice and other one can exercise injustice.
So one can practice Honesty and other one can exercise Dishonesty.
So one can practice truth and other one can exercise lies.
So one can practice evil and other one can exercise good.
Where did this concept come from that the evils should not be practised?
Why do you need all to speak truth since half can tell lies? according your law.

Everyone can, and does have their own ways. Not every country practices justice. Not every person is honest. I don't -need- everyone to, but like I said, these are things that evolved with us to keep us alive. Too much injustice and dishonesty would cause our society to crumble. It's just practical to practice these things.

It still has nothing to do with religion though.

Different names do not mean different Gods. Also let us suppose, if according to your understanding they are different, still you will have to find the True One.

How One God can have many forms? That means idols are all gods if someone claims so?
One means = 1, if not then please explain what One means?

Why are you so determined to have one single clear-cut god? Why can there not be many gods? If there is only one why can this god not manifest in idols or take many forms?

One could also argue that Midgard also needs injustice and dishonesty. Mainly because opportunity comes from Chaos. There have been times where we humans have advanced from Chaos and everything turned out well from it in the end. Not always yes. However one can advance in life from bad experiences.

Maybe it's a culture thing. Maybe is how he was brought up. Who really knows?

Cult is actually a /subjective term, when used without explanatory, definitional parameters. Likewise, the religious paradigm, is (necessarily), subjective. Your sort of right?

Because all prophets have been advocating unity of God and the most authentic Book on earth claims unity of God.

It is not Culture it is divine. We very well understand the difference between culture and religion.

You need a system to live in a society. Do not you need a system?

If you define a 'prophet' as 'someone advocating the unity of God' then certainly you'll find that to be so.

As for the most authentic book on Earth claiming God's unity, that rather depends on which of the Earth's books you find most authentic. Those who are Muslim will think the Qur'an is the most authentic. But there's no reason anybody else would.

Yeah, I know. I was being facetious.

I suspect the thread was made out of a little bit of both - arrogance & ignorance of the forum's rules. The OP is asking a rhetorical question so he has an excuse to big up his own ideas when he's confronted with different ideas. It smacks or preaching, frankly.

Well, IMO:

If God is omnipotent, God can appear as necessary for His devotees' development.

God is beyond form. God is beyond conception by the mind. So we approach God through concepts, through attributes, through forms, through beliefs, but these are only ways towards that which is beyond such things.

Yeah, really. It's so pointless when people attach omni qualities to their deities then begin arbitrarily placing limits on what these deities can & can't do.

Seeker: 'How do I climb up this mountain?'
Guide 1: 'Go round to the east, you'll see a path, walk up there.'
Guide 2: ''Head west until you see a gully, head up that, you'll see the path up the mountain.'
Guide 3: I made an elevator. Use that.
Guide 4: You are already atop the mountain.

If you did you'd be familiar with creation science. Try icr.org.
I've seen things claimed by creation scientists. I'm waiting for proof we are made from a man made out of dirt and our "first mother" was just Dirt Man's rib at first.

Jesus did Not advocate war or violence
"I have not come to bring peace, but the sword."

Jesus said his genuine followers would have self-sacrificing love among themselves
When did that happen? The cops come and they ALL ran off...

Jesus, as Prince of Peace, will usher in global Peace on Earth among men of goodwill - Isaiah 11:3-4 - bringing the wicked to their end
Not through education or compassion, but via genocide.

Under his coming rulership - Psalms 72:8; Psalms 72:12-14 - there will be good conditions on earth - Isaiah 11:7-9
God was running Paradise directly and look how well THAT turned out.

Even the desserts will blossom like flowers - Isaiah 35
Like they do every spring?

There will be healing for earth's nations - Revelation 22:2
Who is left after the global genocide?
"I believe you are confusing 'peace' with 'quiet'". -- Ultron

The discussion is about the best religion. In fact all religions were basically and originally good. Therefore when human race reached the level of maturity to receive a universal saviour and universal book, God sent a universal saviour and universal book and that is what Islam is. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks
All religions are really attempts at some sort of reformation. They all believe different things because they are ONLY meant to fix something their respective founders believed needed fixing. No religion of Abraham actually gives one flip about anyone outside of those cultures. They are about dealing with the cultures available at the time. There is no such thing as a universal religion because everyone has their own needs. It's like saying that everyone should be on a specific diet universally and ignoring the plain fact that some people have contrary needs.

According to your law everyone can have his own ways. So one can practice justice and other one can exercise injustice.
Jesus noted that "the eye cannot say to the hand, 'I don't need you'." In other words, we can ALL be different but unite in common purpose when need be.

You need a system to live in a society. Do not you need a system?
The system also has to be workable. I realize Muslim countries are just having a bad day (so to speak), but given that there seems to be no "system" in place to deal with it, just as Christianity and Judaism don't seem to prevent bad days in countries that tout their beliefs, I feel that ALL religions need to work on priorities and adopt a more evidence-based, practical approach. (I am a theist from Christianity, btw.)

What Region of the world do you live in? I'm not asking for your City or your Nation. Just the General Area.

You need a system to live in a society. Do not you need a system?

Are you talking about a Theocracy? They do not work. Look at the ones that exist now and the ones that once existed. Also look at the right wingers trying to make it happen in the US. All are/were/will be ugly.

@Kelly of the Phoenix your post #156. Fantastic.

By the way we already have The Second Coming™ upon us.
