She'ol is called hell/hades, She'ol is the grave, ALL go to the grave.
The Valley of Hinnom/Gehenna/Hell is the trash dump outside of Jerusalem.
Tartaroo/Hell is the hellfire. Lake of fire, when Y H V H koshers the earth for the New Jerusalem.
Hell is all Greek! Y H V H is not Greek! :)

Then where do the souls go after the day of judgement if they don't make it into heaven.

The lake of fire symbolizes eternal destruction
Hell means, mankinds common grave .

The reason hell is tossed into the lake of fire is because God is going to eventually get rid of death

As does Gehenna, the lake of fire symbolizes eternal destruction. Death and Hades are "hurled into" it in that they will be done away with when mankind is freed from sin and the condemnation of death. Willful, unrepentant sinners will also have their "portion" in that lake. (Revelation 21:8) They too will be annihilated forever. On the other hand, those in God’s memory who are in hell—the common grave of mankind—have a marvelous future.

The difference is the Lake of Fire offers superior accommodations, including king-size beds, cable TV and a mini-bar.:biglaugh:

:tsk: But do not forget that the prices for the snacks in the mini-bar are outrageous!

I'm sorry that I'm not educated enough on this subject to offer a better insight. It's a very interesting question, though!

Here is your "Lake of Fire" 2Pe 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a loud noise, and the elements will be dissolved with fire, and the earth and the works that are upon it will be burned up.

Y H V H koshers the Earth and recreates a new earth, then the New Jerusalem comes down from heaven. All things are renewed.

Hell
Emptied!

Revelation 20:13 states: "The sea gave up those dead in it, and death and Hades gave up those dead in them." Yes, the Bible hell will be emptied. As Jesus promised, "the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear [Jesus’] voice and come out." (John 5:28, 29) Although no longer presently existing in any form, millions of dead ones who are in Jehovah God’s memory will be resurrected, or brought back to life, in a restored earthly paradise.—Luke 23:43; Acts 24:15.

In the new world of God’s making, resurrected humans who comply with his righteous laws will never need to die again. (Isaiah 25:8) Jehovah "will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore." In fact, "the former things [will] have passed away." (Revelation 21:4) What a blessing is in store for those in hell—"the memorial tombs"! This blessing indeed is reason enough for us to take in more knowledge of Jehovah God and his Son, Jesus Christ.—John 17:3

Hi May and Ronald....it is very seldom that I come across people that are well studied in this subject. Churches do not usually preach these truths and I want you to know that I for one appreciate hearing it.

The lake of fire.

Revelation 20:
13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it. Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them. All these people were judged by what they had done. 14 And Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This lake of fire is the second death. 15 And anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.
FYI: "In Christianity and Judaism, the Book of Life (Hebrew: ספר החיים, transliterated Sefer HaChaim; Greek: βιβλίον τῆς ζωῆς Biblíon tēs Zōēs) is the book in which God records the names of every person who is destined for Heaven or the World to Come."

"Hades, according to various Christian denominations, is "the place or state of departed spirits."

Hell is the Uterus
Lake of Fire is Menstruation fluid

This relates to the bizarre superstition that Jews & Muslim have concerning menstruation fluid.

- John Allegro
This gorge was the original "valley of the shadow of death", as its Hebrew designation salmaweth
is wrongly translated in Psalm 23 4, and elsewhere. The real meaning of the original Sumerian
*SILA_MUD means rather the opposite, "way of birth", that is, "birth.canal".28 Now the point of
Molech having his "sperm-dedication" ceremonies here is clearly seen. So also can be
appreciated the Psalmist's concern that his shepherd-god Yahweh should guide him by "rod and
staff through the valley, that he should fear no evil. As a baby's fragile body needs the firm but
gentle hand of the midwife as it is pressed into life through the vagina, so the religious mystic
needed to put his hand in his god's as he passed through the experience of re-birth.
The Arabs call the valley the Wady of Fire.29 It is well-named. Not only does the summer sun
raise the temperature within its gorges to almost unbearable heights, but at its lower end it
debouches onto the Dead Sea, the nearest point on the world's surface to the generative furnaces
of mother earth's womb. Later theologians associated this heat to which the soul returned for
purging and rebirth with retributive punishment for sins committed, so "the valley of the sons of
Hinnom", or Gehenna as it became known, was identified with hell-fire

the dead are those who are spiritually dead; whether here, or somewhere else. energy cannot be created, or destroyed, but it can be recycled.

the lake of fire is another metaphor for furnace.

Isaiah 48:10
Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction.

Skwim,

Genesis 2:7 - And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
Revelation 16:3 - And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea.
Notice: Even the (beasts) animals, and all the creatures of the sea are considered living souls.

Leviticus 17:11 - For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.
Ecclesiastes 3:20-21 - All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again. Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth?

Ecclesiastes 12:7 - Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

Psalm 146:4 -
“His spirit goes out, he goes back to his ground; in that day his thoughts do perish.”
Job 12:10 - In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind.

Note: God is the only one that can resurrect you and give you life, or the only one that can take it away

Hebrews 9:27 - And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
John 5:28-29 - Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

The First Resurrection (Resurrection of life), those that reign with Christ for 1000 years (Millennium)

Revelation 20:5-6 - But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

Revelation 5:10 - And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

Notice how the ones in the first resurrection will reign on the earth with Christ.

The second resurrection: the judgment. For those not found in the book of life, resurrection of damnation, the second death where death has it's power over you.

Revelation 20:13-15 - The sea gave up the dead who were in it. Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them. All these people were judged by what they had done. And Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This lake of fire is the second death. And anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.

The lake of fire is “the second death” - where death has it's power over you. Life is taken from you forever.

1 Corinthians 15:24-26 - Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

Notice how death is destroyed, that means it no longer exists

1 Corinthians 15:55 - O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

.the World to Come. The Kingdom of God

Revelation 21:1-3 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

Note: the new Jerusalem will come down from God out of heaven and be apart of the new heaven and new earth.

Isaiah 65:17 - For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.

Jesus in me
Just wondering because i have read that they are two different places because it says in the bible that God will toss HELL into the LAKE OF FIRE?

I believe In Norse lore Hel was the entrance to the Lake of Fire and the place where Hel lived. The Bible does not distinguish between the two except in that verse in Rev.

Muffled

Jesus in me
Then where do the souls go after the day of judgement if they don't make it into heaven.

I believe this occurs when Jesus returns. Then there will be a separation of sheep and goats. The sheep enter the Kingdom of God. Many who do not get into the Kingdom of God will die and have to wait a long time for rebirth. Those alive remain alive until the day they die.

Muffled

Jesus in me
My bad, that is where the lake of fire comes in.

I don't believe many go into the lake of fire at the day of judgement and those that do get resurrected unto the final judgement after the 1,000 year reign of Jesus. I suppose it is logically possible for a Christian to miss the Rapture and get swallowed up by Hell and then get exonerated at the last judgement.

What Is The Difference Between HELL And THE LAKE OF FIRE?
Both are a topic that I don't care to research because I don't plan on or want to go to either. They can call it anything they want to, I am going the other direction.
