What is the first thing that you visualize when you hear/read the word "God" ?

Curious about WHAT ?

Confusion, mostly. My mind goes blank and I think, "Wow. I don't know how people believe this.

When I visualize what I hear about God, I'm usually curious (or have interest in subjects unknown to me) about why people believe as they do.

Like Heyo said, I don't have a concept of God (and the overuse of the word) to think much about it. I guess sometimes I like to I observe human nature.

You simply mean that you don't have any of our OWN visualisation about God ?

God (It is written by me)

Now, what do you visualise ?

Sadly, it made me think about the person who wrote this with the "it is written by me" so I pictured your avatar. I don't think that is what you were going for.

But, this isn't your own visualisations. its somebodies else.

It is too late to visualize. What I wrote is my experience :
The best part is that this Supreme Bramh , this most loving Supreme Intelligence is willing to walk with you -- who are just a tiny ego inside its vastness and its large "heart" -- and hold your hand. Yes, you. If you turn towards IT -- then you are no longer some insignificant spec, but live in ITS heart which is in turn intrinsic to the real you.

It is anubhav - that suddenly began before studying the scriptures (except for the Gita), and which was confirmed and clarified by scriptures. The role of scriptures, be it of any religion, is to understand the experience better, because experience can be puzzling. I am sure many here will agree.

tell your own please. :)
But this is RF, and RF doesn't want to know , would rather ridicule it. That is why I back it up with what the Rshis said and what KRshNa says. It helps any soul open to , curious about, or thirsty for this knowledge but has missing links or wants to get a better understanding.. Seldom does one 'get' the Bhagvad Geeta in first reading. The goal is not merely or necessarily to answer the OP.
When knowledge and understanding (nidhidhyasana) confirms experience (Anubhav) the circle is complete.

Unfortunately many in RF will ridicule those of us who have personal experiences that can not be verified by others. Mostly due to their lack of experience them self, or because they do not spiritual experience can be true :)
I notice this mostly every day in RF. So maybe it is better to become silent?

You've never been interested in psychology?

It's much more deeper than that, I'm sure you know?

What, like which book to believe? Have been interested in psychology for decades but it hardly explains why some are willing to believe one particular religious text over another - other than what appeals to them.

Its a very good answer though, why you started your answer with the word "Sadly" ?
