What is the Ground of Truth?

Consider that you may be assuming that all religious people view truth the way you do in your daily life. A lot do and are confused.
How are they confused?
You calling me out is an example of you projecting. Religious truth for me is not distinct. I defined how I view truth earlier in the thread and it’s consistent with the post you just quoted. To identify with the “Kingdom” is no different than identifying with the highest quality of life. It’s just different language.

If you are saying that there is a hierarchy of truth, then I agree with you.
I'm saying that in our search for truth we never arrive 100%. And that all truth that we hold has some percentage of doubt built in and that can be a little or a lot. I'm not sure if that's what you mean by hierarchy.

I did get your idea that what we do now affects what will happen in the future, and if that's it we have no problem.

When you say “evolution is blind”, is it fair to assume that you mean evolution is unconscious?

If so, why are you taking a position of final judgment on that? How is it not more honest to be agnostic about that?

When I say selected for, I mean there is a type of discrimination happening, no matter if it’s conscious or unconscious. It’s called natural selection.

Evolution cannot see where it is going.

I am taking the observed scientific view. New evidence may change that view. I'll wait.

I don't think you understand the meaning of natural selection.

I'm saying that in our search for truth we never arrive 100%.
Let’s say I’m trying to achieve a difficult aim. I have to be honest with myself that it’s not a 100% certainty of being fulfilled, but in order to give myself the best chance of accomplishing it, it’s essential to fully identify with the goal state, persisting through doubts.

It’s similar with religious truths. When someone says they are certain God exists. A lot of time that is a result of being hijacked by the desire for certainty, but some of that is rightly done in order to identify with a moral goal.

This is interesting. Could you set out your goal and how you identify with it so I can be sure what you mean? If you've already done so please point to the post, I don't want to make you repeat yourself.

Is this like identifying the goal, finding beliefs that support your pursuit of that goal (logical or not) then using those beliefs to keep you going in your efforts? I think I can somewhat relate to that.

What do you use as the ground of truth?
The foundation from which all other truths are developed.
As an example, do you use the Bible as your ground of truth?
Do you go back to what is written in the Bible (or some other Holy work) to support what you claim as true?

When you say this is true or that is true, what is the foundation that you support your argument on?
Ground (first truths, axioms) is what is (most) obvious, certain, self-evident. Sometimes it's what is most plausible, credible, trustworthy. What I use as a ground depends on the area of knowledge. I use the Bible as a ground to know something about faith and theology of early Christian communities.

What is the Ground of Truth?

In Religious ( belonging to Ethical, Moral and Spiritual realms) the pristine Word of G-d based on the Direct Converse to the truthful Prophet Messenger of G-d is the ground of Truth.
In sciences:
(In Temporal/Physical/Material/Secular realms) Ground truth* is information that is known to be real or true, provided by direct observation and measurement (i.e. empirical evidence) as opposed to information provided by inference.* (as long as it has no anomaly with Nature- the Work of G-d).
*Ground truth - Wikipedia

Right?
