what is the highest priority of islam

lava i am amazed you would say that
what do you think gods highest priority is

i am unsure if terms like highest and lowest should apply perfection. God has certain characteristics such as keeping promises -no matter what-. or being just. i think each quality is connected to one another. but there are some promises God has made to human. since there's hell and heaven and noone really earns heaven by his own doings, it is up to God to make people enter heaven. i mean, noone could enter heaven if God did not keep its promises. i think that is very important speaking as a human. but from God's point of view, that, i can never answer

I think perfection is trying ones best from the information they have.
I think what can make heaven for one self is what one does in there life to increase hope that there "soul" will be in pleasure at all times.

hi again, Evane123. sorry it took me while to respond. i'll try to share knowledge of Tasavvuf with you.

first of all, perfection belongs to God alone. human on the path that leads God becomes better and each person could become perfect. but even this perfection would not be equal God's. what you say is correct. trying your best with the knowledge you have, i mean. matter of fact people would not be given more knowledge if they did not put what they already know into action. this is responsibility of one to apply whatever he knows into his life.

both heaven and hell starts here. the main purpose is to reach God as we name it submission. but unlike many misunderstood, submission would not occur with being a Muslim or a believer.

in our teachings what you soul is named Spirit. soul refers to one's ego. human ego has 12 vices. each vices needs to be purified. that's called purification of heart. more a person purifies his ego, he finds more happiness in his life. so to speak, someone who's servant to his ego would always remain in ups and downs of duality which keeps real peace away from him. in our teaching happiness is considered as continuous peace within. it is like 'being the eye of the hurricane'. no matter what happens around you that peace within you would remain still. IMO the way thing goes parallel with our teachings. that is remarkable. i am glad the bond between your intellect and your conscience is strong. you're always welcomed to talk to me, PM me...well, anything and any time, my friend

Back to the OP:

Highest purpose: Tawheed , worship Allah alone that is why you may have read that the meaning of Islam is submission, i.e complete submission to Allah azza wajjal orders. Simple :)
