What is the meaning of life?

From the atheistic standpoint NOTHING within the universe has any meaning, everything is a blind and worthless creation of chance. Life is simply the result of an accidental biochemical reaction that is an infinitesimally small flash in time that means nothing. It is ALL really just a great cosmic joke.,

To add, belief in god and having a meaning in life have nothing to do with each other. Many atheists have meaning in life and not all (including myself) believe we are abiochemical reation and blind and worthless.

Does Christ guide you to talk like this? Honestly?

Let me ask, and translate however you need to, why do you need a meaning to your life?

To those who are the exception of the rule, why would you feel others need a meaning to life (be nice please)?

Also, can you live without this meaning or does this meaning define your life?

Or, do you think people can live without a meaning without loosing their sense of self in the process? (Be nice and introspective)
I feel like you are assuming the conclusion that meaning is created to soothe emotions. If the universe does have a fundamental purpose, a real one not a made up one, it seems to me that logically that purpose must exist whether people feel soothed by it or not. It is true that I feel happy when my actions seem to be flowing with rather than against the flow of the universe, but I wouldn't make something up just to get that feeling, and if I did it wouldn't last long since the universe itself would eventually fail to meet the false expectations I designed for it.

Why do you need a meaning to life (to suffer)? If you dont, why do you think others need a meaning to life?
IMO a meaning to life forms a framework which guides our daily actions, and our choice of a meaning to life demonstrates the approach we have towards reducing personal suffering in life.

That is completely wrong and incorrect.

Do you have meaning in your life and if so, why do you need one?

If not, why would you feel others need a meaning in life?

No generalizations. No personal negative bias. Just your opinion or belief about why you need a meaning in life and if you dont (which is okay. That doesnt mean you poped out of no where;no biological chemicals) why would others need it?
What is "meaning" in anyone's life ? Does a blind fish in a dark cave in Mexico have meaning ? Does it feel it has meaning ? IF you are just another form of blind fish, swimming around till you die in a milli milli milli second of cosmic time (time, another creation of an accident) regardless of your "cave" how could your life have any meaning ? Nothing means anything to anything else, every living thing dies and ceases to exist, and meaning goes out the window with it. Apparently the universe itself will die completely as well without meaning anything. Did a snail living 3,000 years ago have meaning ? It is all an illusion

What difference does suffering, or not, ultimately mean ? Nothing

This is one of those questions children can answer better than adults. This is a child's answer - live in joy:

The reason for life is belief. Faith in life creates hope, the opposite of doom. Naturally Faith is hedonistic and conceived nirvana out of determination.

Im not understanding how this relates. Do you find meaning in your life, and why do you need to?

If you dont, why do you feel others need to find meaning in life? More introspective question.

Regardless of how people translate this meaning emotions or biochemical reaction.

Do you have meaning or purpose in life? If so (my OP asks) why do you need one?

If meaning is only an illusion, Why do you think people need a meaning in life?

Regardless of how they translate that meaning from biochemicals and illusion to life with christ or watching over ones family in spirit.

Do you feel Why you need meaning is to have hope or faith (or belief)? or do you have a reason for your belief not just the meaning of life itself?

Love is the reason for life moreover than Faith and is the ultimate cataylyst.

Why do you need a meaning to life or why is love and faith a meaning you life? Why is needing meaning important?

If not, why do you feel others need a meaning in life regardless of what that or those meaning(s) are?

Life naturally is rationalized by pleasure, it's not how I feel

Why do you think children see this as their meaning in life?
Children of course don't have a reasoned intellectual conception of life's meaning developed from the study of philosophy or scriptures. But to me when they are full of joy they are automatically living life's purpose; experiencing unselfconscious joy.

Not sure I would say humans need meaningfulness as much as they have an irresistible compulsion for storytelling that intrinsically conjures such meaningfulness. Much of the storytelling goes unnoticed or is not called as such - we don't tend to conceptualize our lives as a subjective narrative with ourselves as the principle actors and narrators of the experience. But we do write that inner narrative, inevitably, barring some sort of cognitive inability to do so. Such narratives are part of how creatures make sense of the world around them. And making sense of the world around oneself is kinda important in order to survive, yes?
