The historical (and largely localized) religions that modern Heathenry is based on were practiced almost exclusively by farming communities, and one of the reasons the modern religion exists is because of (almost wholly inaccurate) romanticized depictions of Viking raiders.
But yeah, Heathenry is broadly connected to war and farming about as much as Wicca.
