What is the most powerful emotion?

What is the most powerful emotion? No right or wrong answers just fire away.

Personally I view Love as the most powerful emotion. It can either result in large amounts of joy and happiness and make people do things that they wouldn't usually do (in the good way). On the flip side love can also breed unrivalled sadness and sorrow when taken away/ not received.

What do you guys (and girls :p) think?

I think any emotion has equal power. Anger, happiness, jealousy, etc. can influence us to do a great many things- whether positive or negative. There is one thing, I am not 100% positive that love and hate are actually emotions or at least not emotions all the time.

Interesting point. I guess emotions all have different levels of power depending on the catalyst of that emotion(s).

If you wish to consider altruistic love an emotion, then altruistic love is a pretty powerful one. It seems to have the ability to over-ride other emotions, albeit it is quite rare and usually fleeting.

I agree with Gjallar, it depends on the person except for a majority of people it'd be fear.
