Those dreams wherein you die and don't wake up are always pretty freaky.

Sometimes my dreams come true but it is always trivial things.

A dream set in a sort of early 20th century street with red brick buildings, slate roofs and green painted window frames. you can see through a shop window a guy was working at a typewriter and then walks out the shop...

...but it was backwards. He walked backwards into the shop and started working at the typewriter.

Then I woke up. That's the weirdest dream I've ever had.

What is the strangest dream you ever had? Have you ever had a dream come true?

I often have nightmares, but not always.
Every once in a while I get a weird dream where I'm alone somewhere like a parking lot or a mountain.
Nothing really happens, I just walk around for a bit then get a falling feeling and wake up.

Well it makes sense that he was going backwards in dreamland, because the dream was set in 'backwards' time period.

Yes lots of our dreams given by God come true....

The strangest dreams were my earliest, like at 3/4 years old, used to dream of the Tribulation in my life time, and what will happen....

It is strange as when i grew up, realized everyone else follows these same concepts from ancient books, and not first hand experiences. :innocent:

Oh, my gosh! Weird you ask this question at this time. My grandmothers must be talking to me today.

Last night, work up at 3 a.m. Don't know about the strangest but I usually don't remember my dreams. I was in the middle of the city where I saw someone get beaten to death, literally, because he was LGBTQ. Then the scene switched from the "New York" looking city, to my being with my mother in the car trying to convince her to move somewhere else. She said she couldn't afford it. Later, the scene switched with our being in the living room or kitchen and she showing me karate moves to fight off anyone who would attack me. I was going through post traumatic stress, and hid all my LGBTQ items, key chain (yes, I took the key chain ring off the keys), and stuffed it in my pocket.

I woke up, stayed in bed for an hour before actually getting out. I thought maybe it was telling me about safety, I was in danger, mental anguish, something similar. So, I go to fix some pizza this morning. Put it in the oven (this was two hours ago or so). Came from the kitchen, and saw my blinds wide open. People can look in my apartment. I said, "that's why...." and came back towards my room. My front door was open and unlocked all night.

Call it coincidence, but I know spirits talk through dreams.

Don't think I will forget about this for a good while.

Thank you grandma!

I'm not telling about those ones! :D

But I can tell about a continuing one where I fly a microlight aircraft around the local area. Landing usually wakes me up.
(I can'r fly a microlight!)

Yeah. I popped up after the fright and now about to finish my work, refreshed. I haven't had this good sleep (excluding the nightmare) for a long 'while. Let me hurry and use this energy before it flops!

I initially was dreaming about a sleepover with me and my friends, but then the dream suddenly thought "meh, this is boring" and out of nowhere a bunch of celebrities came and then an evil wizard guy appeared and suddenly we weren't in his room but in a huge dome-like spaceship, it's interior like a fortress. Me and the celebrities were out to defeat this wizard. Simon Pegg died, we all mourned his loss :D

Mother Heathen
I don't recall my strangest dream, but, @Father Heathen had a dream the other night that he was in Africa with Oprah Winfrey. She was playing the piano on a travelling float and children were following her. The float went across a bridge with a steep drop below. Father Heathen was getting frustrated because kids were trying to climb off the the side of the bridge, were swinging from it and he was the only one trying to save them. As the Oprah parade ensued, FH continued to save the kiddos from certain death.

I dreamt I was an eagle flying over a city made of golden turrets.
a few days later
I dreamt I was on another planet with giant goldfish that walked on long legs.
a few days after that
I dreamt I was given a golden cloak of knowledge but that it made others spiteful and evil-jealous.
I could see their faces, people I know, and how they plotted against me.
That eventually did come true.

Thou art That
In one of my very vivid dreams, I was standing on a street corner in my old Latin district in San Francisco, late at night. The scene was illuminated by a street lamp. Kitty corner were a group of about 5 young Latin kids, and I overheard one, who had a bow and arrow, say to the rest: 'Watch. I am going to shoot him. Watch where I hit him'. He shot me in the groin on one side, and my body flew up into the air about 10 feet, twisting as I went, which almost separated my torso from my lower half. When I landed, I had transformed into a jaguar, and I was almost severed in two, but out of the rupture emerged a 10 foot vertical column of pure white light as my body lay there dying. The scene had turned into my being on stage in some theatre somewhere. Don't recall if there was an audience or not.

In another dream, I was a very old man, with white hair and beard, dressed in a black suit with top hat. I was driving an old model T. I was at the bottom of a mountain chit chatting with a vivacious young blonde who had a sporty red Alfa Romeo convertible. We then both jumped into our vehicles and drove part way up the mountain to a rest stop with a grand vista of the countryside. We chatted for about 10 minutes, and then she suddenly said: 'Race you to the bottom!', at which she jumped into her sports car and was gone. I was very crotchety, and I ambled over to my model T, got in, and proceeded to slowly descend on the narrow road. As my eyesight was bad, I miscalculated and droved over the cliff edge. I was going down backwards, so could not see the ground. When I hit the ground, there was no sound, no crash. Just utter silence. I got the sensation of going through lush black velvet. So I guess I beat her to the bottom after all, ha ha.

Here are a few for the record.

A few nights ago I dreamt of being chased by a giant cosmic backdoor sphincter which took its time trapping me in a corner and my head ended up inside of it. It is essentially a reverse colonoscopy.

I also dreamt of being a xenomorph offspring and having the delightful time of chasing Sigourney Weaver throughout my own house trying to "add" her to my hive "collection."

The last one was erotic but that first one . That stuff is traumatizing and leaves me wondering what my brain is doing when I sleep.

There are just too much weird dreams :D some importants, others just weird.

Dreamed of a strange man giving me a live snake as a necklace and told me to go to India and meet him. Lots of months later, I actually met him in India: He was the Shiva murti in the first temple I visited. The. Same.

Months later same man taught me basics of worship in dream.

... And then there is yesterday, where I dreamed everyone was turning info necromorphs because of a cursed electric guitar.

What the ...

Nice :)
When I had a Guru, I had several darshan dreams of him and some of his family(who were regarded as holy). Even after I left said guru I had a few dreams where we conversd and I told him he is corrupt. Haven't heard from him since.

Also when I was 12(over 65 years ago), I deamt I was living on a sugar cane plantation in Brazil. I lived there for 2 years in the dream and when I woke up, it took me two weeks to get used to my 'real' life.
Hmm, I am now wondering which one was the dream, maybe I should go back to Brazil, even though I have never been there :)

Psychotic dreams are the weirdest where I do something really bad and feel nothing. This has happened to me once that I can remember. Something about dreams is that all of myself is not available in most dreams. Its very difficult for me to think "I am dreaming" without waking up almost immediately. I think that when most of my mind collects then the dream is at an end, and I think that dreams are caused when my conscious mind dissipates into fragments and starts to come back together. On the rare occasion when I remember dreams it is probably like looking at a fragmented part of myself -- a process of drawing the parts together. My dreams are usually emotionless and nonsensical. Sometimes they are representations of concerns, and those tend to be the really weird ones. They are also the most fun to interpret. I have had a couple of happy jaunts, some aimless journeys with constantly changing contexts, been killed twice, fallen many times (but always woke up), fought a wild tiger, was attacked by ants, was bitten by a spider, bitten by monkey, dreamed about Spider Man and I've met Darth Vader in a school gym.
