What is the true Religion today?

Metempsychosis

Reincarnation of 'Anti-religion'
Revealed religions are doomed, they just don't know it yet. I talk a bunch of crazy talk ('cause I'm crazy) but I know what I'm talking about when it comes to the science of entropy...

Me, too. I found the center through Gwynnie. What am I supposed to do, start making temples? Girl would kill my dumb ***.

Haha.:)

I'd like to think so, but I think it's safe to say that their doom is not imminent.
Nah. It'll take a bit... but modern science is, unfortunately or not, driven by capitalistic concerns. The American government is "foaming at the mouth" at the thought of quantum computing, getting the universal key; and ending privacy forever... I cannot really blame the scientists who are driven more by joy of discovery than greed, but the forward thrust of progress is plowing through unknown fields without slowing to fully consider the rocks being overturned...

Being an oracle in this day and age is easy. The information is available to all and sundry, and common conception will soon be aware that causality is a nest of snakes. It is merely an extrapolation of entropy to state that information from the future supersedes that of the past - and it will be shown that nothing could have ever been "revealed" without creating a whole different kind of reality.

And it won't be complicated stuff, either. When the popular philosophers of the age get hold of these data and their consequences... I wouldn't be surprised to see these types of religions becoming straight illegal.

"God beyond understanding" means exactly that.

Why do we have so many religions today?

Why so many?
Catholic? Born Again? Baptism? Jehova's Witnesses? Mormonism? Seventh day Adventist?

Which is true?
As a very smart (to me) poster on another forum pointed out, "Truth is not dictated by a religion. Religions are established to try to teach truth to the congregations that gather to find the truth."

To quote Shakespeare, "'Tis a consummation devoutly to be wished!"

:)

Bruce

Shakespeare was referring to death with that passage.
To die: to sleep;
No more; and by a sleep to say we end
The heart-ache and the thousand natural shocks
That flesh is heir to, 'tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wish'd.

Huh? I didn't even attempt to say what truth was. Don't tell me I defined it incorrectly when I didn't define it at all.
And another one with a persecution complex. :D

You didn't say anything - you posted another's words - and from those words, congregations gather to form consensus. Hint: just ignore me like everybody else, but I am not yours to command.

Well I have it on very good authority that the 2x2 religion is the only way to salvation. All the others are wrong, no question, absolutely wrong.

I was told I was going to hell when I left this religion because of it's exclusive message and I was only 12 when I did that. So .....

No nothing like that. No dates. They believed Jesus will come like a thief in the night, no man knows the hour etc...:cover:

However, they tell everyone their beginnings started on the shores of Galilee and their workers (ministers) were from a long line that started at Jesus. This is taught and it is not revealed that the religion actually started in 1897 by William Irvine in Ireland and he died quite a rich man. He started a ministry that required all the workers to give up all their worldly possessions and go out into the world 2x2 to preach the good word. Of course they were to give the proceeds to him. However, the people who are in this church think it was the only true faith because it came "from the beginning" and don't know it is just over 100 years old. However, with the internet some are finding out and they are leaving. It's a real pity actually because some have devoted their entire lives to this and to find out it's a sham is pretty hard. However, after the shock wears off, most ex 2x2's say they are so glad to be free.

Why do we have so many religions today?

Well, no one can prove anything, yet humanity continually strives to explain the questions about our existance that no one can answer. Then, everyone thinks they are right. Then, that gets manipulated or perverted. Then, people break away and take the parts they like and make up the rest the way that they think is right, and then because they think they now have it all perfected it has become, the truth.

Why so many?
Catholic? Born Again? Baptism? Jehova's Witnesses? Mormonism? Seventh day Adventist?

In my personal opinion I feel that christianities fundamental dogma has too much potential to be an enabler for immorality. It is also so vast, it swoops up and has swooped up a lot of creeps in the past who were enabled with the fire of the dogma underneath thier rear ends, and they went nutso and people broke away.

Which is true?

None in whole I don't think. There is truth in everything, but not one single religion has perfect whole truth. You have to seperate the wheat from the chaff in them all.

Yes, they pride themselves on not having a name because Jesus's religion didn't have a name. Not many have heard of them. I hated it. Rebelled real young and never looked back. Needless to say I wasn't the most popular amongst them.:D However, now most people on this forum will understand why I'm not exactly happy about religions. I had my fill in the first 12 years of my life, well 17 years I guess because I lived at home and had to deal with it till then.
